just like anything in this world. yes and no. yes, because it can make a tough guy out of you, and no because it can break your spirit and make you a sducidal Virginia Tech shooter. i guess it depends on the individual and his personality. some guys have a natural sort of defense and a way to fight their way out of crazy situations, while others just run and let their fear control them. also, this has to do with their bodies as well. a guy say who is at a medium/strong built body is most likely to stand up to a bully vs a guy who is a weak/frail body who will less likely to do it due to him still get physically hurt afterwords.
the only positive thing i see for bullying for the 2nd guy is that it will push him to seek out some form of self defense classes in which he can actually get strong. but from my experience, most of those classes are a scam and business. it's hard to find something good and solid for weak guys who get bullied/beat up all the time.
