Unfortunately the antibodies seem to last about 3 months, but hopefully it will mutate over time. At the very least, we'll eventually figure out treatments that work, and have a better idea of the long term damage as more studies roll in.

What happened to hand washing? When all of this started, hand washing was the big thing. There were songs about it to make sure you washed long enough. Stores quickly ran out of hand sanitizer. Anything you touched was tainted and should be sanitized. Now you never heard about hand washing. It's 96% "Wear the mask!" and maybe 4% social distancing. Hand washing has stopped being a COVID meme. Why did they stop pushing hand washing and have gone almost entirely to "Wear the Mask!" messaging?

And that I never minded because it was something that had always been pushed as a matter of hygiene. But without trustworthy evidence of a significant pandemic on a scale other than what we've dealt with numerous times over the last 20 years, the masks are illogical and reek of Chinese propaganda to get us acting just like their bugpeople, conditioned and obedient. We're already too much that way and the path we're headed towards is mandatory vaccinations, and anyone who claims slippery slope is a fallacy hasn't been paying attention for the last couple of decades.

I have a respirator and a bunch of N95 masks I bought when Obama was president. The first week of Swine Flu coverage was pretty much like the current COVID coverage. So I quickly stocked up. Then the stories almost all went away. You had to dig around through the science and technology section of the newspaper to find out anything going on with Swine Flu.
I'm not using the respirator nor the masks. If I were to go to a medical facility, I'd probably put on the respirator but for going grocery shopping or to Home Depot, there's no real good reason to bother with either. The odds are just too low to worry about.
