1. You lent out money unwisely.
2. Lose money

Then wipe out entry level jobs with foreign workers for teh lulz

3. Plus interest

You (((conveniently))) forgot the part about usury.

Usury should be illegal

There goes the humanities

Take out as many loans as you can, never pay them back.

true. but bankers and their high interest loans are still scum

I forgot this was a thing because my forbearance ended the same month wuflu hit and they started paying all my interest payments with tax dollars.
FedLoan never once contacted me and it hasn't even harmed my credit score.

This

>front money
>be surprised when you get robbed
speculate to accumulate

Shouldn’t schools be sued for false advertising about non existing job opportunities?

When secondary (Y7-11) and for US probably like (7/8-12) education became necessary for a high paying job in most of the West we made it free to use, why not university degrees?

Pay me back.

The government should pay everybodys student loan.

Then set their credit score at 100, so that everybody knows these idiots are too stupid to loan money to ever again.

I would say forgive student loans, but the colleges must be held accountable for fraud, selling these kids a worthless degree on top of indoctrinating them with marxism. End all student loans in the future, the number of people going to college will drop along with the demand and then the price will go down because they won't have federally backed money going to them that can't be declared on bankruptcy. We need to rethink our entire model of schooling and education because the institution as it stands is incapable of reform. The corruption and commies are too entrenched to get rid of by any other means than being shut down entirely.

That’s a stupid idea. The government should just forbid the charging of student loans in the first place, as opposed to paying for them.

Because making it free is why it became necessary in the first place, because it dilutes the value of a degree.

But the schools are worse. They are the ones charging way too much. Let's take an example. At my old school, average professor pay was $180,000 per year. If he teaches 3 courses, then he has to be in class 80 minutes per lecture, twice a week. For 13 weeks. 160 minutes per week per class is 2080 minutes, which is about 35 hours. Multiply by 3 classes, you get 105 hours. Multiply by 2 semesters, you 210 hours worked. Let's say the prof puts in a lot of extra time grading papers, seeing students in office hours, etc. Let's be generous and he spends as much outside class as he does inside. That's an extra 210 hours. So, 420 hours worked per year, for $180,000. Over $400 per hour.

Make the issuing educational institutions responsible for all federal loans. Forgive the students. Who fault is it really that they allowed low-tier high-risk students to get a Gender Studies degree? The universities invented these programs to receive more loan income. Since they weren't in charge of collecting, they didn't care who received loans or in what quantity.

They spend most of that money on sports and professor salaries. I know that at my university, we had to pay for parking, gym access, and everything fucking else while the buildings fell apart and class got more expensive. WHERE WAS THE MONEY GOING?

90% of higher education will fall overnight if they follow my plan.

I agree but they wont be because it's all a globalist con to bring wages down.

I don't think you have even the most rudimentary grasp of how American colleges operate

You're baiting but it's true.
You and they both deserve consequences.

>when you realize you literally cannot pay all the debt back because all money (within global jew banking cartel) was created as debt+interest out of thin air

Kids were groomed their whole lives all through school towards going to college. They were told that it was the only way to be competitive in the job market by the authority figures in their lives. How can they be held responsible for the universities being converted into useless degree farms when the generations before set up the whole system to be as shit as it is? If the student loan crisis isn't fixed soon, we're looking at some hard times down the road.

I dont get this problem
I never heard any other countries having this problem
Maybe its only Americans having this problem because they're letting kids take up loans, instead of parents paying for it

The federal government could also not provide loans for worthless degrees, and classes.
Any class that ends in "Studies" is a worthless class.
We should set an aggregate amount that you need to earn for a degree to have value.

check and based
we live in a society not kike bankerville

There's a difference between having to pay taxes on money you earn or paying an annual property tax vs. owing a university $100K.

Actually, I used to work as treasure at one. I know EXACTLY how it works. When I went to school, the cost was about 1/3 what it is now. That was 20 years ago. The cost of living has not increased 200% since then. You need to learn a little bit about how these extortion factories run. Cost accounting is cost accounting, whether you like it or not.

>create economy where basic jobs require degrees
>increase tuition to an insane level
>give private banks the right to give student loans
>everyone does the dinosaur

>You took out a loan
You realize you're giving out loans to kids too young to legally drink alcohol right? They're buying something they've been groomed to believe is essential. Told this from early childhood by authority figures they're expected to learn from and often encouraged to follow without question. When anyone but the government does this, it's called a cult and a scam.

You sold these people "employability," filles their heads with useless marxist jargon, and flooded the labour market with 3rd worlders and shipped the jobs overseas. And you're geuninely surprised that investment isn't showing returns?

Why are you talking about taxes?

I thought student loans were just a scam to get the government to give money to private universities. Are they actually supposed to be repayed?

You ballon up past 300lbs in retirement.
Fuck your Medicare and Social Security, just suffer the consequences of your actions.

>take out gigantic student loan in 2011
>bought Bitcoin with whatever I didn't use on school
>become millionaire
>don't pay back debt because crypto is the future

lmao everyone should have just done this

1. Yes under false promises

2. Nope. I'm not paying you a fucking penny.

Because that's the only thing you owe when you don't have actual debt.

Solution is easy. Default until hyperinflation hits and makes repayment trivial or the government is forced to forgive them. The government could also collapse then they are effectively wiped out.

So assuming all the student loans were forgiven, fully or partially with more realistic payment plans where they still pay back a percentage, we gotta come up with some way to incentivize needed professions. Most every other developed country subsidizes their education and we should do the same. We could make it so that you get a higher percentage of your education costs subsidized if you go into professions that are in much higher demand for workers. This would also dis-incentivize going into useless degrees, since they're oversaturated and would get minimal or no government subsidy. I'm just spitballing, so it needs a bit of hammering out in specifics, but I don't think it's too bad an idea. Any thoughts?

hmm. based.

I'm using plural "you", not singular "you" in case you somehow didn't figure it out from the context

No.
Boomers didn't pay for their retirement, I won't pay for my useless education

correc'd and check'd
there goes the retarded humanities.
english, history, romance studies, classics, and comp lit will never die.

I know someone that paid 40k USD per year to go to college. For reference that's 1.98 million in your pesos. 40k is nearly double a minimum wage worker's yearly income here.

No i don't think I will

I'm joining the army and its going to be deferred for like 8 years

After that I'll take the bare minimum of classes or even just not pay it. Fuck financialists they can suck my fat cock

Rich guy here. Student tuition costs are way overpriced. The loans are government insured. They are scamming young gullible adult on an industrial scale. Its wrong. I paid off my loans but ultimately the degree was worthless. Degrees don't properly translate into the wage levels

University exists for research. University courses should be replaced with nothing but grueling exams and interviews as well as job experience & licensing - therefore encouraging self learning. You will still be able to go to a place which exists to train; but otherwise you could learn it yourself.

Research should be handled by private corporations and public institutions as necessary. Universities become public/private institutions which exist for research only; people get hired there based on the examination only degrees.

t. has a CS degree but could have learned everything on his own and still could pass a google interview.

What's the fund frein?

We're talking about student debt, which is obviously an individual account.
Of course the United States financial system isn't ever going to have 0 debt. That would be retarded. You want people continuing to make financial transactions or else your money would be worthless.
>inb4 b-but gold standard!
Would not work at all in modern times at the scale of transactions conducted and value of goods exchanged we've reached now. Nixon pulled out for good reason in the early 70s since the rest of the world was about to turn in all their dollars and tap out all our gold reserves by doing so.

1. Cope

2. Lol, you can't even declare bankruptcy to avoid paying it off. You're stuck with it.

Why the fuck do so many people whine so often about how student loan debt should be cancelled? You knew what you were getting yourself into, and if you didn't its your own fault for not thinking a little more pragmatically about such a serious decision.

Unironically this. If you're lending out money for student loans in current year you're a fucking retard if you think you're getting it back. And they only have themselves to blame for helping create the problem.

In relation to your pic, college students are too retarded to actually leave the US. While the grooming is true, it's just because lots of retarded boomers went to college for zero cost. College attendance will probably drop 80% in the coming generations if nothing changes.
