No african society has ever independently developed marriage or maintained it without a majority white population. Without marriage there is no motivation for men to work to support a family, so men no longer work collectively beyond what can immedately help them. Therefore there is no economy. There are also no clear gender roles or solid parental structure, so children can't develop as well.
