Sure. It was done under the guise of SERE training. This was early - mid 2000s until...?
Much of it was standard SERE involving hunger, fatigue, stress positions, and what can generally be described as diet torture.
It was declassified or leaked some years ago that the people I saw administering things behind the scenes (one way or two way mirrors, whatever you call them) were clearly not military. Anyway, it was leaked that they were at least CIA and possibly others attempting to develop psychological warfare systems to use in the War on Terror.
As far as I know, devices and drugs were not used.
