Let us have a little history lesson about the Spanish Civil war and what could be in store for America. The spanish civil war really mirrors a lot of what we can find splitting america as well. So to avoid being long, I will bulletpoint some interesting points:

The falange had some power initially but after ww2 they were more or less shut out. In the end Franco passed on power to the King, who in turn turned the country into a gay liberal democracy.

One bright side you need to think about is the Spanish Moors, the non-whites in Spain who sided with the fascists and became their death squads. Read about the Badajoz massacre, in the end the antifa in Spain were brutally slaughtered by the people they purported to defend.

Everyone brings up the German and Italian "volunteers" fighting, but by far their most important contribution was ferrying Franco's Army of North Africa back to Spain. It turns out when left wing larpers meet battle hardened soldiers they get their shit pushed in.

What ultimately allowed Franco victory when the odds were so seemingly stacked against him? I remember reading about Guernica in school - some faggot American expat lived there and wrote for the commies. I remember finding his writing boring and sappy. But the topic itself is fascinating.

The Germans therefore decided to replace him with a creature of their own; Señor Hedilla, as the leader of the most pro-German party, was their ideal tool. He was persuaded by General Faupel to stage a coup d’état, which very nearly succeeded. But General Franco reacted vigorously, suppressed the conspiracy, sent Hedilla to prison for ten years and demanded the recall of Faupel. To complete his ascendency he appointed himself head of the new, and only, party. He continued to run the war in his own way, and it was not until March, 1938, that he launched an offensive along the lines advocated by the Germans.

Replace the word "Liberal" with Communist. You forgot to mention the commies intentional starvation of the Spanish prior to the war. 300 churches were burnt in the 1st month of the war, nuns raped, priests tortured and murdered. Mass murders by Commies even of their allies to steal wealth and passports. Also Russian weapons and advisors in the field
What I really want to stress, over and over, is that at the onset of the war, in republican areas, armed rabble of communists went into RURAL villages and slaughtered priests and conservatives indescriminately and in horrific ways, around the whole country. It was later found most of the groups came from the cities to inflict this terror on the rural peoples. They would burn priests alive in front of the villagers as a lesson.

The coup thing was made up by the catalonians do destroy german spanish relations. Many things were false to make franco and the falangists look bad. The "white terror" was made up like the holohoax.

General Franco gave his Berber soldiers free rein to sow terror and fear among the general public in their fight against the Republicans across Spain.
Moroccan units committed numerous crimes in many Spanish cities, including Toledo.
The Moroccan troops attacked civilians indiscriminately, and did not distinguish between soldiers, women, children and the elderly.
In her book 'Moroccans serving under Franco', Spanish historian María Roza de Madariaga describes how Moroccans were used by General Franco and the Nationalist junta to terrorise left-wing supporters of the Spanish government.
The Spanish were familiar with the Moroccan's fighting spirit through the 1921 to 1926 Spanish-Moroccan War in the Riff Mountains, and the events that took place during the battle of Anoual (July 1921) in particular lay fresh in the collective Spanish memory.
The soldiers - some of them forcibly recruited - served under General Franco in the Spanish colonial army. Franco's African forces were based in northern Morocco before they crossed to Spain and marched on the capital, Madrid.
"At least 10,000 children were forced to take part in that terrible war. A total of 136,000 Moroccans were pressed-gang into the military and forced to fight and more than 100,000 of them disappeared. At least 1000 soldiers from other Arab countries, including Syria, Lebanon and Egypt, disappeared without a trace as well."
