This. Back when I used to watch TV I saw this one show about American cops (always more interesting to watch than the UK variants because America is Brazil with money) where this guy was so fucked up on methamphetamines, cocaine and God knows what else the tasers didn't work on him. When I did training to learn how to properly shoot, my instructor was an ex-cop. He told me that if someone is high on meth, PCP, bath salts, etc. and they find that nothing will stop them then they will aim for the pelvis and shoot them there because the skeletal system will just prevent them from being able to stand or walk properly to keep attacking. Good info to know for the future I guess just in case. If some methed out monster charges you, shoot them in the pelvis.

They do work, but they're not perfect. You need to get a good hit in, with both electrodes in the skin, not too far apart, in a good location, etc, etc.
The reason it seems like they never work is because we only see news stories about cops ventilating someone when the taser fails. You don't see huge news stories about a cop who successfully detained someone with a taser, you see a story when the taser failed and they had to shoot the guy.

They don’t work on anyone with very good discipline same goes for pepper sprays. Good news is many don’t have that. If somebody is trained chances are he will be able to even take some rounds. Some folks high on drugs managed to finish the officer even after taking a magazine.
