I think i'm starting to convert to Christianity from Atheism.
I'm seeing what this world is becoming and it sickens me. All the degenerative behavior and the push hedonistic, pagan-like lifestyles is scary.
Russia, Hungary, Poland, they're starting to notice too and I don't blame them.
Another thing is that I don't know which sect is more convincing. I admire Orthodoxy but it's not very common in North America, at least I don't think.
Also, I've always been around protestants so they also seem admiring.
I think i'm starting to convert to Christianity
Cool
Find a sect you believe in, don't simply join one because it's popular or whatever.
Orthodoxy is a big ethnic club. The OCA is your best bet, but it’s still kind of a larp and can be weird on morality (pacifism). Still, they’re good people.
t. Not a Christian
Based. Become Catholic. Latin Mass=best mass
Search "bible way to heaven good hope" on youtube and watch the 14:30 min video if you are not 100% sure you are on your way to heaven. Also recommend reading/listening to the new testament in kjv.
If you don't find a church that is biblically based, then eventually it'll turn into a social club for lefties. Bible first, move from there.

Yall in for a wild ride. When things get moving fast. God be changing shit left and right in front of your eyes. And you can't take a picture of it, because he wants to remain hidden to those who don't believe.
He can change things retroactively. That is, he thinks you need something, and the moment you think you need it, it shows up in front of you. And the time it took to get there is before you knew you needed it.
God's cross temporal, so expect things to get weird.
I would suggest to get a Bible or read from the internet (King James Version), watch videos, browse Zig Forums and pray to God in Jesus name.
>not a christian but gives advice on a church never been to and knows nothing about
Keep spreading misinfo, that helps everyone.
Baptize yourself into the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
Why? Christ is the head and founder of the church. He gave us our first pope, who passed His Good News down to us today.
Look for a ROCOR parish if you can find one. Antiochians aren't bad either. Stay away from GOARCH, Greek diaspora is very pozzed.
I highly recommend the following books for a new convert:
>"Nihilism" and "Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future" by Fr Seraphim Rose
>"Truth of Our Faith" by Elder Cleopa
>"Way of the Ascetics" by Tito Colliander
>"The Orthodox Church" by Timothy Ware (he's gone off the rails in recent years but his book still holds up)
Also the Orthodox Study Bible is the best bible for english speakers.
this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, it's not an ethnic club, even my parish priest is a convert
Dr. William Pierce is a homo and a doublehomo. -user
Wow, you're argument seems silly now.
I am not going to tell you wich branch of christianism should you follow. My advice is just to buy a Bible so you can start reading It. God bless you!
T. Agnóstic during all my 20s and mid 30s, until some year ago
*Probably sticking to the branch your community belongs to. I did It to catholicism as my parents were liberals but my grandparents God bless them, taught me to pray, they were catholichs, my country is catholich, so i went into catholicism.
Very nice my brother!
> my parents were liberals but my grandparents ... were catholichs
A story of the west, to be sure. Europe, America, Australia...Jesus is just a name now to this dying family of cultures.
Become a Jesus follower instead of shopping for a brand of the week.
anythin but katholik they are lyers who will
sell ther own religion for a few shekels
try lutheranism (if ur german) but also it u gotta look into the beliefs of diff sekts protestantism they differ quite abit goodluck may u find strength in god
>anythin but katholik they are lyers who will
>sell ther own religion for a few shekels
Firstly, learn to spell. Secondly this is blatantly false.
you don't need a church to be christian
i understand the sentiment but friend the believs
of sekts differ quite grately it is important to
choose one that u personaly although with as christians we are all united under god
ah yes pay to get into heaven nice one
it is important to hav a pastor/priest to help giv kontext to the bible and inturpret it u need to study it alot to realy get a full skope and i mean every verse
>ah yes pay to get into heaven nice one
Not how that works, not how it ever worked. Also, dude, what is wrong with your spelling?
Why don't you use the letter "c"?
woops forgot "alighn with" after personaly
Good luck on your religious journey bro. Wish I had the willpower to do the same
That's good. Just remember, God is not some anthropomorphic sky daddy. He transends the basic laws of the Universe. The biggest subversion of Christianity was painting God out to be human-like, in look and thought.
I love Jesus, recently found his love again. I was looking at attending an Orthodox Church but their strict fasting is what puts me off. As I like to workout a lot and half of the year it has me eating vegan. Plus vegan food here is very expensive, and I can't afford that drastic change right now. Would Catholicism be the next best choice? Until I am able to afford being an Orthodox?
The reason you can see that all this is bad, is because you can see Truth. Why is there Truth? All things in creation point to the creator - he that is ineffable, without form, and uncreated. He is in all things, but he is not all things.
also yes at one point the katholik church made it legal to pay to get into heaven it was a sad time also watch this youtube.com
You're a faggot
when's your lobotomy scheduled for?
agreed thats pretty true
>what is the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
This is a basic preaching of the Gospel for your convenience. To start off, Jesus Christ came in the flesh.
>1 John 4:2 "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:"
Coming as the last Adam(1 Corinthians 15:45-47; Romans 5:12-15)
Giving redemption through his blood(Ephesians 1:7)
>Hebrews 10:7-10 "Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
>Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
>Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
>By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."
As was prophesied by Isaiah of the Messiah that was to be rejected of his own people(Isaiah 53:3-5)
And in Psalms
>Psalm 22:16 "For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet."
So, Jesus Christ of Nazareth did fulfill scripture and did die and rose again. So that we can be saved through his blood by being baptized for the remission of sins through his name.
>Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
>John 3:5 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
