Isn't much of northern Europe cooler on average than the USA? They wouldn't need air conditioning. Dunno about Spain, it probably gets pretty warm there in summer.

You would think so, but I was in France and the UK last year during July and I literally wanted to blow my fucking head off it was so hot. Sleeping was fucking impossible- the only thing you could do to combat the heat is turn on a loud noisy fan that barely makes any kind of difference in the temperature. Euros can’t afford AC because electricity costs so much there, pic related. It sucks an insane amount of ass.
