Pooregon is pretty comfy for rv living. My brother has some junk cars and campers on land in the outback. You could probably camp there while you figure out where to go next.

Set aside 5k to buy a cheap acre. Pick somewhere out in unincorporated land. This will be your home base. Build a cheap shed for storage. When the dollar inflates this land will also act as a store of wealth.
Now spend 4k on a solid cargo van that can double as a work van. Don't bother with amenities. Live in it for a while and figure out what you need and make small improvements over time.
You have 3k left. This is for gas, insurance, repairs. At this point the most important thing to do is find a way to generate income so you don't stagnate.
Congratulations. You are now a property owner, with a work vehicle, outside of an urban hellhole.

Find a van you like then buy a damaged roof / water damage 5th wheel for super cheap. Retrofit all appliances from trailer into cargo van then junk Rv part of trailer and resell as flatbed or tiny house foundation for more $$ then you paid for the whole Rv trailer. If op goes for a 4x4 then elco nv is a place to consider. 1 acre lots on dirt/mud road for $3k or payments. But there be tweekers and criminals out there. Could be looted. Take it from me man it ain't easy driving into another state and getting a weapon. I thought I was a bad ass and drove all the way to texas in my camper and thought I would buy a gun and live like a nomad here but it didn't work out too well. 2 weeks into my journey the sheriffs in katy TX started harassing me after they saw my license plates. I had one deputy literally come up to my face and told me to fuck off back to california. I've never felt so unwelcome in my entire life. Needless to say I'm back in L.A living the nomad life. It isn't so bad here after what I've experienced in Texas and Arizona. Although if things around here get worse I will try my luck in Idaho.

-if you get sick or injured you will have no one to take you to the hospital
-You need a constant stream of wifi to do online remote jobs like customer service
-winters will freeze your ass off

-you better know how to do everything from plumbing, carpentry to mechanic skills.
-you will need a PO box/permanent address from somewhere to get mail

My brother has land and keeps shitty pld campers on it. He has a big old SUV that works and several basket case pos cars that do not work. He has a $20 prepaid android phone for basic internet, and he hangs out at the library to download massive amounts of porn and tv. Also to pick up water which he puts into various jugs.

Electricity is generated by cars- whichever one has a functional alternator gets hooked up to a rats nest of jumper cables and batteries. He cooks with garbage as fuel. He runs outdoor propane heaters in the camper during the winter. He has a PO box in town.
