There are too many games and like with all media the more popular it gets, the more pozzed it becomes over time. Not much is gained for the time put in usually.

They are similar in the sense that they serve as an escape from reality but tik tok seems to be more fitting for vapid and talentless idiots all telling each other how great they are and vidya is more competitive and requires skill and it's mostly people trying to be better than you.

Dances are decently simple when you get into them, some are kinda harder but once you realize how you do a move it is really simple, kinda like spinning your hands in different directions or flossing, really easy when you get the hang of it, while gaming is more about the knowledge and more precise movements.

It's like learning to juggle vs learning to throw darts, juggling is easy af once you get your head around the movement, then you just gotta practice the fluidity

But yeah, some of the stuff you see on tik tok is genuinely amazing and shows a ton of talent but 99.9% of tik tok is just mundane stupidity, atleast going of what my 18 year old nephew has shown me and said was "great".

The same can be said for video games though. 99% of the time spent playing video games isn't people playing doom eternal on ultra nightmare or just all around kicking major ass it's just casual competitive online play or something not all that intense.
