>86 Merc 230e >only 2 owners >398,000 km >full service history >paint in perfect shape >interior perfect shape >managed to bring it down to $2,000 aud
Am I being stupid here? I know that the 230e are bulletproof but am I going to have a fuck ton of problems being the driver that starts driving it at the 400,000km mark?
Dude buying a car with 400,000 KM is like dating a single mother with 4 kids. WTF are you even thinking?

Cunt the future repair prices alone will set you back more than $2,000, foreign import + 40 year old model.
Ayden Stewart
This. You're buying a piece of trash, just like a single mother with 4 kids by 4 dads.
Nathan Moore
Sounds fishy, why is it in American dollars and not kangaroobux?
Jaxon Ward
W124 forever.
Leo Martinez

If electronics work, body is clean, AC is cold, interior is intact and exterior accents/ trim pieces are deteriorating id pick it up. Be prepared, even of that Benz of that age have very high OEM part costs. Good canidate for a motor swap

If it isn't a diesel, I'd stay away

Sadly nothing screams paki or sandnigger like an old Merc or BMW.
Brandon Clark
>2 owners >full service history >34 years with 12,000 km per year It's not as bad as it looks.
Julian Flores
if you actually intend on using it daily, expect it to sink a lot more into it due to maintenance alone, not to mention the towing fees
Liam Gomez
Fuck off faggot not your personal blog
Brandon Perry
what? the fuck? take your meths

2000 will likely be the first in a series of payments you’ll be making
Dope I bought an electric bike a few days ago because I’m poor and it’s going to be my only method of transportation. It’s cheap and chinese but it look simple enough for me to fix is anything goes wrong and it will because it’s chinese.
If it was something like 200 bucks, then I would say, go for it. Mercs are fucking built to last, so the mileage isn't the issue, it's the combination of being old AF, having a super high mileage and being too fucking expensive. In Europe (not just the EU) this car is driven by gypsies and you can buy one for 250 EUR in non-EU countries. The price is a bit higher in the EU as it is an old-timer now.

Not a bad deal for $2000. Don't expect them to have been truthful that there's no problems with it though despite the history.
Jonathan Morales
To be fair this is the w124, from what I have read these cars were so reliable they were used as taxis and ambulances. Apparently it's not uncommon for them to hit 1mil on the odometer.
With that being said am I being a retard in the buying this, should I look at a different Merc? Pic related is the interior
Had one of those about 15 years ago. They have gotten allot better since. If you have one with the motor build into the wheel hub you will be avoiding allot of useless pain.
Isaac Garcia
Fuck no. Jesus Christ, you have the option of buying a diesel Hilux you fucking cunt, and you want to buy some Zimbabwe drug runner car?
Mason Perez
Can you work on cars? Cool buy it. Try to squeeze him down to 17-1800 in person, have money in hand and a pen to sign the title. Are you gonna pay the guy down the road to work on it? Skip it
Logan Barnes
a 34 year old motorcycle would actually be a reasonable purchase if you know how to use the internet and turn wrenches i bought one of these a long time ago for around 200 bucks and rode it for probably 10 years. i didnt even have to do anything to it except change the battery, chain and tires. sold it for 900 when i was ready to upgrade
lol i worked in an auto garage at the time. oil and plugs i got for free but theyre not really that expensive. the oil filter for that thing was like $2

Scotty legit has a video where he praises this exact model Merc.
