Trump's retail apocalypse does not even spare the pizza-makers:
>Pizza Hut to close 300 restaurants, mostly dine-in locations
>Up to 300 Pizza Hut restaurants will be closed, most of them dine-in locations not well suited for carryout and delivery at a time when millions of people are sheltering and eating at home.
>Pizza sales have exploded during the pandemic. Domino's last month reported a 30% spike in quarterly profits. On Monday it said that it was hiring more than 20,000 people to handle surging orders.
>Franchisee NPC International said Monday in documents filed in bankruptcy court that it had come to an agreement with Pizza Hut to close hundreds of locations. The Leawood, Kansas, company filed for bankruptcy protection last month.
>NPC owns 1,225 Pizza Huts and 385 Wendy’s restaurants in 27 states. There are 6,700 Pizza Hut restaurants in the U.S.
>In its filing, NPC said that closing stores not designed for pick-up or delivery will allow it to invest in smaller stores that can better handle online orders.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE: Fashion rental chain 'Rent the Runway' will shut down ALL of its retail locations:
>Rent The Runway closing all retail stores, including largest flagship in S.F.
>Fashion rental platform Rent the Runway will permanently close all of its retail stores — including its newest location in San Francisco — to refocus on its digital business while increasing the number of drop-off locations it has co-located with other businesses.
>President and CEO Anushka Salinas told CNBC the plan to evolve the company’s physical presence from stores to drop boxes has been ongoing for two or three years. The company initially temporarily shut all its stores at the start of Covid-19-related pandemic lockdowns.
>At 8,300 square feet, the San Francisco store at 228 Grant Ave. in Union Square was Rent the Runway's newest store and largest to date, supported by the brand's third-largest subscription market when it opened last year in May. The store featured more than 20 fitting rooms, a greatly expanded merchandise assortment and perks such as stylists, an event and networking space, a coffee cart and a beauty bar and desk space for co-working.
>Oh nose a 'restaurant' that serves Italian peasant food [and does so poorly] is going to shut.
I weep for your loss burger.
Benjamin Sullivan
>pizza hut >rent the runway are these businesses spectacularly important to you. ffs just find a good local italian place. I get a $25 pizza from mine every friday, and it's fucking great - not like the shit you get at a chain.
oh fucking no the roasties won't be able to go to the "beauty bar" or "event and networking space". The coronavirus is the best thing that has ever happened in every single way. boomers dead, socialoids btfo, and non-stop happenings to get comfy with. 2020 might literally be the best year of my life, but, we'll see what the next few have in store.

REMEMBER WHAT THEY TOOK FROM YOU >REMEMBER WHAT THEY TOOK FROM YOU REMEMBER WHAT THEY TOOK FROM YOU >REMEMBER WHAT THEY TOOK FROM YOU
First job was Pizza Hutt. They literally soak their dough in animal fat, like tubs of it
William Green

Joseph Young
>millenials are killing the pizza market Is there no end to the tyranny?!
Jonathan Bennett
they shouldve never veered off from the 90s buffet vusiness model they listened to (((millennials))) and tried to make it trendy but everyone who did are going out of business
Elijah Butler
I miss the pizza huts from 15 years ago, they use to be good, now they re garbage with fake cheese cooked by niggers and drenched in oil
William Martin
imagine not being able to make money on pizza delivery with a universally known-brand when everyone is being told to stay home and at least 50% of restaurants are closed.
Aiden Martin
Kek pottery

The real reason is that their customers largely rent clothes for events. Women getting a dress/outfit for a big party, a wedding, a corporate event, a gala of some kind, etc. RTR is a way for women to stunt on each other with some great one-off outfit, even for just a big night out at a club or whatever.
ALL OF THOSE TYPES OF EVENTS ARE CANCELLED AND NO WOMEN ARE DRESSING UP.
Austin Hall
oh no not iconic retail brand Rent the Runway
Austin Phillips
NOOOOO not the place that charges you 20 quid for some bread with tomato and cheese NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
2020 is objectively fantastic as long as you have some money coming in.
Wyatt Scott
We will have to spend billions of tax dollars to subsidize this important industry! Not enough money? Oh just print more! The tax payer will pay for it and the banks will collect interest so everyone wins. Pizza becomes more expensive, you lose money, and I get more!
No. Lol. It’s all shitty frozen dough. The pan pizzas have like a half cup off vegetable oil squired on the bottom before they put the frozen dough disk in to thaw. It’s still extremely gross though.
Ayden Green
good. pizza hut is the worst pizza and who gives a fuck about some shitty chink clothes vendor?
Carson Wright
Pizza Hut going down? Good news then because they only sell shit thin greasy pizza with cheap low quality ingredients
Elijah Price
Pizza Hut's is $37 CAD for a medium all dressed, fuck them. The one on my way for work has shut down in 2018, good riddance
Henry Turner
This started well before the boguscronus

This is the real Pizzagate.

Fuck Canada. I wish you would all die.
Jace Foster
Pizza Hut buffet is unironically awesome
Xavier Clark
What about the combination pizza hut and taco bell?
I don't know how the one in my area has stayed open all these years. There are mom and pop pizza joints on every corner that have way better pizza for the same or less money. The only reason little Ceasars does well here is because it's dirt cheap and caters to broke ghetto trash.
Joseph Lewis
We don't have those here. We have combo TB/KFC instead.
