I feel like Blacks impact on pop culture has kind of been like the emperor’s new clothes for the last 5-10 years. Like most of their output is now incredibly corny and cringeworthy, something they reasonably accused whites of in the 90’s. Things like black twitter, a whole movie about middle class white people body snatching black guys, dabbing, twerking, WAKANDA FOREVER (and the rest of that movie) are always treated as being very profound and/or cool, but are actually really cringe. Not even saying white Americans aren’t cringe in their own ways, just that nobody vocalises how embarrassing or ridiculous black pop cultural output has become.
