There are scaremongering articles and news everyday, even threads on Zig Forums about how the corona lockdowns have made so many millions out of work, so many millions more unemployed. Millions can't pay their rent. Billions destitute, etc. The system is collapsing around us we are told over and over again.
I live in a working-class council estate in Birmingham in the UK and have never seen a single sign of this *new* destitution and millions thrown on the scrap heap. Sure people might not be rich around here and there are some term unemployed but everyone seems to be doing ok and the poverty or whatever in these areas have always been there anyway. I see women who are single mums working in BM Bargains and they drive a BMW, go on holiday twice a year, new clothes and trinkets and phones all the time. Kids in 80 quid air max trainers.
Yet we are told everyone's in food banks, drowning in poverty and can't feed their kids.
Everyone around here is going on holiday, driving a flash car around, carrying designer Gucci and Chanel bags, dropping hundreds a week in the pub on food and drink. Spending a fortune on gym supplements, haircuts, tattoos, all the typical Deano essentials are easily taken care of.
Most whites around here own their home from right to buy council or mortgage, they all have at least 1 car in their drive way, they all have thousands of pounds worth of furnishings in their home. Most people who work around here have worked in the same jobs for decades or more. They are in secure jobs. Some people have worked in the local Mcdonalds for 15 years and live the lifestyle of a Hollywood celeb on a Mcdonald's wage.
Where is all the destitution, homelessness, food banks, poverty, people losing their jobs, we are told about over and over? Shouldn't i be seeing examples of this in a run down working class urban area? It's not like i live in a comfy countryside cottage where everyone is wealthy. It's just pub class whites and a few odd pakis and blacks here.
