Half Life and Half Life 2 were both symbolic of major progress in video game development, Half Life 3 will be the same. The problem is that vidya has remained stagnant for well over a decade, sure graphics have gotten better and in-game features flushed but the core has remained the same. VR was a significant leap(which is why we got Half-Life Alyx) but it will remain a niche platform because most people aren't going to spend $1k on a system that will give a large percentage motion sickness and it lacks AAA games developers for that very reason.

I'm guessing holochambers is when you'll see HL3.
