The point was never for european ethnic groups to have autonomy it was for the provinces to have autonomy. Canada’s culture (Canada as in the state created) was always British and expected the assimilation of other european groups. For example my family is Dutch immigrants but we all speak English and don’t know our original language. We’re assimilated.

My dad married into a Dutch family here and holy shit I can't believe how many of em own farms. I've only been here for a year and it's extremely different compared to Paris or Oakville, everyone is just nice and don't act like complete degenerates. A lot of businesses around here are also Dutch owned, they just keep growing.

Well the Catholic Church I'm at right now is full of em. I started working at a Lumber Yard here a few months ago and I was completely caught off-guard when a lot of the Dutch guys would give us a tip if they thought you did a good job and you were supposed to take that money to buy coffee and food for the people ya work with. I've never seen a shitskin do that around here and if ya get a Chinese guy he'll just complain the whole time and try to get a discount on the wood or even drywall.

Gonna have to disagree. It’s shit. There’s a cultural divide and of course you get no respect if you’re white. Inflation is insanely high, the housing market is fucking ridiculous in and around cities.. to the point people have to live with relatives until they’re fucking 35.. if you make under 100k good luck... the winters are terribly cold.
