Yeah, but Jeff Hanneman was natsoc. I don't think he really thought about it too much he just wanted to write a song about exterminating jews. He wasn't thinking in terms of optics.
I remember seeing an interview from the 80s where Araya was asked if the song was anti-semetic and Tom said, "Why don't you ask the man who wrote it. He's sitting right here." and Hanneman just replied "Its just a song, man" and shrugged. In other words, he didn't deny it.
