Go up and talk to your local police some time and see whats up. I saw group of my local Sheriffs deputes chilling in a store and went in to have a chat recently. No one denies there isn't a problem with law enforcement, but you don't get better law enforcement by cutting their funding. If we want better officers, we need stricter hiring procedures, more training requirements, and better compensation so good candidates are drawn to the position
