I can imagine some kind of scenario with these luminescent bio tattoos that work as depots and set free vaccine into the body. I can't imagine it being an actual implant chip. What's more likely is the new electronic currency being rolled out, then slowly fade out real cash, then unify all electronic currencies to one global currency, then link it to biometric IDs, effectively making your body/face your 'wallet' while of course you possess no value anymore.
