Hi anons,
I'm a former liberal who feels increasingly disenfranchised by progressive politics. I was involved in OWS, and used to feel that I was a natural ally of the left wing. Now, however, I feel like the left has gone crazy. To be honest, I feel that my politics align far more with Tucker Carlson than they do with Biden.
I made a table (pic related) to try and explain the shift that's happened on the left in the past few years. I showed it to my mum and uncle, who are boomers who are also scratching their heads at the crazy progressive politics of the nu-left.
Any feedback would be welcome. I'm curious to know what anons think, and if improvements can be made.
Also please feel free to share it, especially with the boomers/Gen X'rs in your life.

OWS was the last time i agreed with liberals. since then all they do is screech that whites are all racists and other IDpol marxy nonsense. Hang in there OP. All signs point to Trump losing this election and the left having a majority in both houses. The party of both Pelosi and AOC will not survive without division. With a push for ranked choice voting the 2 party system will fracture into many parties and we'll have coalition politics soon enough.

I was a liberal gayfag, I was with OWS too. Years ago I laughed at republicans for calling Harry Potter evil, now I'm watching 'liberals' do the same thing because Rowling believes everything that they do... except that trans women aren't women. It's been an eye opening few years.

To the modern progressive left, there's is no such thing as a homogenous group, society is divded in any way possible, by race, by gender, by education, by income, etc etc. And they take sides on each issue, because there must always be an 'oppressor' group and the 'oppressed'. This forms the basis of their world view, unironically seeking to divide wherever possible and then championing themselves as defenders of the 'oppressed'.
If you're white, you're more privileged than blacks, if you're a man you're more privileged than women. Is a white woman more or less privileged than a black man and viceversa?
It's a "Privilege Totem Pole" and everyone's places change depending on which "class" you're viewing them as. In the "Oppression Olympics", it's a race to see who's the most oppressed and thus the most worthy of social virtue, I can't think of anyone they'd worship more than a disabled pansexual black tranny.
And their divisions of privilege or "class" aren't consistent either, gender is a spectrum they claim, but feminity must be protected and made sacrosanct, yet they support trannies who's entire existence revolves around the concept of "feminity" as a commodity you can buy, through hormones, surgery and makeup. Hence why they fight amongst themselves, with radical feminists (TERFs) pitting against trannies and such.
I remember when Obama legalized gay marriage, the LGBT community turned against homos, since now they were recognized in the eyes of the law, they were no longer "underprivileged" and "oppressed".
The modern left, I think, at least the ones truly at the head of the movement, just wants to keep us divided and busy fighting amongst ourselves, this whole "social class warfare" bullshit is pure smoke and mirrors.
In OWS, they weren't mad that corporations were abusing their power to influence policy. Rather, they were mad that the abuse of power did not align with their policies.

I was involved in some OWS organizing, and me and a bro kept pushing for the group to do two things:
>nominate a leader who could speak for us on news programs etc.
>create a CLEAR list of SPECIFIC policy requests. Not vague shit like "provide welfare for all", but SPECIFIC changes to federal law, such as "add a 2% surfeit tax to each residential property owned beyond the third".
Anyway, we started to get some traction with our ideas, around november 2011 or so. Then, our meetings introduced the "progressive stack" (basically whitebois don't get to speak). As a consequence, every meeting was dominated by lunatic blacks and gays ranting about their personal "lived experience". After a couple of meetings sitting on my hands, I stopped attending. My friend dropped out soon after.
Precisely the same experience. I didn't know it then, but that was the end of the left.
