What do you retards not comprehend about this? An N95 or better mask will protect you from getting sick if you wear it right (you shouldn't be able to smell anything if it's fitted properly). A cloth mask will help prevent you from spraying droplets on other people, and is marginally effective at preventing you from inhaling droplets, but it has the added bonus of keeping your filthy fingers away from your mouth and nose.
It's a respiratory virus, you avoid catching it by preventing shit from entering your mouth or nose (and to a lesser extent not touching your eyes).

My roommate caught covid last weekend, I don't wear a mask and I am still negative as of yesterday. I told my sister about it and she is freaking out telling me to wear a mask in my own apartment. I don't want to wear it around the house nor force my roommate to stay in his room just for me.

Droplets means it's literally contained in liquid droplets, which could be expelled through the air through spitting, coughing, spluttering. Droplets may only go a meter or so, hence the 1-2m social distancing.
Airborn virus would literally travel through the air, not necessarily through liquid droplets, and can also be breathed in again without needing to come in to contact with the droplets.
