Covid-19: Herd Immunity

Logic says that the American people have already achieved herd immunity.

The entire argument by the CDC for having people to wear facemask is that wearing a facemask reduces viral load due to large water droplets infected with the COVID-19 virus will get stuck on the surface of the facemask. A basketball is going to hold more virus particles than a baseball. However, this ignores the fact that small droplets with COVID-19 virus particles will still pass through the face mask.

What does reducing a person's virus load mean? It means a person will still get infected with COVID-19, except with less virus particles, allowing their immune system a chance to respond to COVID-19 before the virus has a change to fully establish itself. All it takes is a single COVID-19 virus particle to kick start self-replication in the human body. A person wearing a facemask is micro dosing their self to COVID-19.

Based on the CDC's virus load argument, having people wear a facemask guaranteed a lower chance of death AND bestowed herd immunity. COVID-19 has been spreading for months, infecting people at the same rate regardless of whether or not they wore a facemask, so there really is no justifiable reason for the CDC to have the government continue mandating facemasks.

When the CDC commented about facemasks not being able to filter smoke particulate, it didn't accidentally admit face masks are useless. What it accidentally admitted is that the American population have already achieved herd immunity. Yet... the CDC still talks about a COVID-19 vaccine and how such a thing will be necessary in order to return things back to normal. Despite all this, the COVID-19 vaccine is being touted as perfectly safe and backed by decades of vaccine research. However, the vaccination technology being used to develop the COVID-19 vaccine uses mRNA vaccine tech. Such vaccination technology is highly experimental and has never been used on humans before.

Why are you still wearing a facemask?

True, we need a link

12% of my hospital had antibodies and 15-20% of all hospital workers in NY had antibodies. I don't want to come across as a shill, but when it first started this shit was bad. The people propped up all weird and shit, the trucks full of bodies. Very surreal. I don't want to get it, I don't want my family to get it.
The entire fight against masks is fucking stupid. Worst case scenario it makes this shit 10 times worse. Best case scenario what? You don't have to wear a mask?
I think another huge benefit of the mask is much MUCH more anonymity. You can't get doxxed nearly as easily for pretty much anything. And it helps with peace of mind.
So why is there a campaign to stop wearing masks is the real question?
What the fuck do you possibly gain from not wearing a mask.

I've had a stockpile of n95s since ebola. Fuck off.

Also, I made fucking bank selling them at gumshoes back in March.

Wearing a mask dehumanizes a person.

If I were planning on purging Jews, I would force all of them to wear a facemask or bag over their head before I did it. A passerby and bystanders would be less likely to help someone that they can't relate to.

>Zig Forums doesn't understand that viruses piggyback on droplets of mucus and saliva much larger than themselves that have a very difficult time getting through a mask
Brainlets

From what I read covid is droplet/airborne. Masks eliminate droplets. When it comes to airborne it depends on the number of particles you inhale. So yeah, masks decrease the chance of infection but aren't complete protection.

Ebola is bloodbourne, not airborne.

You lucked in having a stockpile of N95 masks by being a retard. Congrats!

>N95s for frontline healthcare workers
And apparently AOC's campaign.

Dialate.

Also, still voting trump

This has already been debunked by Reddit, stupid.

The rationale for face masks shifts back and forth between protecting the wearer and protecting others. No one seems to be clear on this point and most of the morality tales obfuscate this.

When a person coughs or sneezes, not all the droplets are large. Many are way smaller. So small, that they can still pass through cloth.

Are you going to say those droplets are so abysmally itty bitty that COVID-19 can't ride them through a facemask into a person's mouth/lungs?

I'm not from Reddit.

Maybe you need to go back lurk moar?

>Wearing a mask dehumanizes a person.
says the people going around wanting to eradicate all the jews and use the word nigger more often than they breath air. They claim everyone apart from white people are subhumans. But let's all cry about how a mask dehumanize people, whatever the fuck that means, right nigger?

1. I need to have a word with logic, because it may be using bad premises.

2. The argument was always not to expel droplets if possible. Masks prevents those you expel from reaching not outside the mask, but into another's fucking lungs.

Of course, better masks would yield better results, but Healthcare needs them more than we do.

2.5. Some droplets are better than all droplets, as the viral charge at innoculation is lighter.

3. Government mandates are still retarded. Herd immunity or no, more idiots dying is a good thing.

d-does the virus disappear after the droplet hits your mask? or am I immediately breathing it in anyway from this nice absorbant napkin covering my otherwise protective skin?

Yes, it shifts back and forth because people are scientifically ignorant. Look at the comments in this thread. It couldn't be any more obvious.

Basic logic tells you that the facemask thing is bunk.

Nigger, don't hate the player, hate the game!

If you're already positive, it doesn't matter.
Nobody ever claimed a shitty cloth mask is 100% effective, but it helps immensely.

ebola is transmitted through fluids dumbass

coronavirus is airborne not waterbound

No, I'm saying that a viral charge at innoculation that's 90% lighter means ANY disease hits softer.

Government doesn't care about you getting sick. They care that you and people you infect take hospital resources. They care about maintaining power, and if Healthcare collapses? Chaos.

Masks help keep that hospitalisation % low.

#WhoIsJohnGalt?

You're missing the point.

Face masks do not fully prevent all the tiny vapor droplets that exit your facemask. Many of the tiny vapor droplets that make it through your face mask might be blocked by the other person's face mask, but but some will still make it through. Even if 0.00000000001% of all tiny water vapors contaminated with COVID-19 make it through a person's facemask, that is all it takes for that individual to become infected with COVID-19.

A single COVID-19 virus particles will begin self-replicating into tens, then hundreds, then thousands, then millions, then billions, and so on. This means people that wore facemasks microdosed themselves with COVID-19. They're already immune to COVID.

Still doesn't change the fact that it isn't airbourne, re-re.

>it helps immensely

Based on what metric? If we compare the U.S. to Sweden, it can't be argued that facemasks kill people.

it can be breathed in with water droplets like influenza. are you larping as someone smart?

Face masks probably do block larger droplets but no one has identified credible research about blocking aerosols especially for longer periods. The problem with the science is that it’s hard to identify what threat model should be used to identify how effective a mask is in any given situation.

Face masks should only be used as last resort in clinical settings with covid when full PPE is not available. This is different than somebody spending a 1/2 hr at Kroger. High compliance with masking there might make a large scale difference in transmission rates. Or not. We don’t have good science on that. Wearing a mask 8 hrs for work in an office may be different. Or not. We don’t really know.

We don’t have good info on how much a common face mask protects the wearer in any situation. Maybe it offers some protection or not. Maybe it’s good for short low intensity exposure. Or not. But we just keep pretending as if all these questions are fully settled by experts and for som reason are treating one guy as infallible with regards to everything coronavirus related.

>t. Literally retarded

Not really. The particle actually has to make to you and get breathed in. There is also a minimum viral load needed for an infection to take hold.

>cloth masks
That's probably why Trump stole good N95 masks from Germany.

In a better world, JewSA would be facing sanctions for its reprehensible handling of the situation. It's literally killing its own people due to incompetence of capitalist leaders too busy instating new loopholes into the tax system.

Yet Ebola doesn't magically spread rapidly like influenza does.

Why is that?

ebola spreads rapidly in africa

>goes down to his level of logic
>gets called retarded

lulz

(Most) masks don't block individual virus particles. Everyone informed acknowledges this. They mainly block larger droplets people exhale which contain numerous virus particles.

Oh really, there is a minimum viral load needed for an infection to take hold?

What is the minimum viral load?

the virus spreads through the air not just on droplets.

About time someone started calling out the half-ass masks and face coverings.
If you're not wearing something proper (n95, 6800 etc) you're wearing a fucking placebo and might as well go maskless.

This.

anti-mask sentiment is a shill-op by the Chinese because the virus was mistakenly released before it was ready. They don't want Americans to be prepared for the next biological attack.

Virus rebreather system.
Lets the virus in.
Catches it going out.
Breathe it in again
2nd chance to infect you.
Or infect new parts of lungs.
Eventually you're breathing 100% virus.
Sounds good to me.
