Ask a drunk physicist anything Zig Forums, part 8 or something idfk

jannies, these threads become political very fast as i get asked about everything from climate change to 9/11, so please do not consider this off topic

ask away Zig Forumstards

Physics was debunked by reddit earlier.

This thread is hourly. The midwit wont answer your questions.

reddit was debunked by reddit even earlier

Scientifically speaking, why is it that I can't build muscle?

what? the last one i did was like 2 days ago

more of a biology question but i would suggest eating more and focusing on form. i do work out myself

Because you are fifteen and all your excess protein goes into sperm.

You’re a racist if you support math

mathematics is the same for all societies

If you needed to bake 6 million cookies, and you could fit 15 cookies on a plate, how long would it take to bake all the cookies if it took 1 hour per baking?

Are you a doody maker like I?

6 million/15 hours

yes

Is academia in the west beyond help at this point? Even STEM feels compromised and thats just from an engineering undergrad's perspective.

Who was the real guy in q physics to read?

just ignore the social sciences and dont say any wrong think. this is far easier as a physicist than other acaedmic professions.
if you want to say controversial shit, get tenure. it protects nearly everything you say

a great many people. hundreds if not thousands

you made FIVE of this thread on wednesday. fuck you.

Heisenberg... i liked him. Who had the best philosophy, and why

wednesday was 2 days ago where i live lul

Do you actually do physics or just larp at pol all day every day?

i personally like bohmian mechanics but the philosophical interpretation is far less important than people think because they are all consistent with experiment. that's why it doesn't really matter that everyone uses copenhagen by default.

i do less physics than id like to (too many god damn meetings) but yes every day

As a physicist have you ever personally touched a black hole or inserted objects into one? I understand the inherent risks, but on the other hand, I'm wary of the claims of physicists regarding black holes because it seems like they are overwhelmingly white men with low hole experience, period.

Crematorium 2 was a facility at Auscwitz where they supposedly gassed and cremated 600,000 Hungarian jews in the space of 1.5 years.
Why 1.5 years? This is the only timeframe we don't have records for, so it's the only timeframe it could have theoretically happened.

The problem is Crematorium 2 only has 15 ovens. These are shitty brick ovens from the 1940's that burn coke for fuel, they are very prone to breaking down.
But let's say they didn't break down, let's say you threw bodies into these ovens all day, all night, without any breaks for 1.5 years.
That would be about 20 minutes per body. But we know that it takes about 1 hour to cremate a full body.

The eyewitnesses claim that they would dump "3 or 4" bodies into a single opening, and it would be done in 15 minutes. But this is physically impossible. Not only because the vaporizing water would overwhelming the oven, but because the ovens can clearly only accommodate a single body, and are filled using stretchers on rollers.

This is quite frankly a ridiculous story, but that's only the beginning.

Supposedly the doors of the gas chamber are open in 20 minutes.
How did they get all the gas out of the room in 20 minutes? Didn't think about that one, did they? Even worse Zyklon crystals are used for clothing fumigation, and take several hours to release their gas.

This was such a massive problem in the story, they invented these "gas introduction columns" where pellets would be lowered, and then raised back up through the roof after 15 minutes. The more you think about it, the less sense it makes, but this is official history. Question it and go to prison.

Of course there is no blue staining on the walls, nor is there any zyklon residue whatsoever. But the walls of the nearby clothing fumigation rooms have staining so thick, it is penetrating through the wall to the outside.

What is quantum tunneling in ypur picture? Is it that an object can go from point A to point B while physicially going inside an object that is in its way?

String theory is for fags.

Circle yes/no

please dont judge, but fucking 4 loko lmao

yeah thats pretty much what it is. i just picked it to make people interested.

its beautiful but not testable in our lifetimes. probably 300 years or so

None of this quantum shit can be doing practically because we don't have to energy nor the means to contain said energy to make this kind of shit happen at our scale?

your solid state drive and semiconductors rely on quantum phenomena to function. its very real and practical

Sure, but I'm talking shit like teleportation.

teleportation is not really the right word. it is just that particles can be found in a classically forbidden region. in classical mechanics, the particle would have to "travel up the hill" to get to the other side. in quantum mechanics, it doesnt have to do that.

The quantum idea is that you can teleport anywhere in the universe by pure random chance, but it's just really really unlikely

with some caveats. cant exceed the speed of light, probability becomes absurdly small with distance and potential barrier size, etc.

QM is a fake science. It doesn't describe reality, it describes measuring devices.

There's no such thing as teleportation or faster than light action at a distance.

quantum mechanics does not imply the speed of light can be broken. your smartphone requires quantum mechanics to function. it is very real and practical.

You would never know it because you are a slave to your measuring device.

Would there be any advantages to the chem industry if quantum entaglement is proven legit? What could it be used for? Could it be used to replace the expensive as fuck NMR?

>t. Organicchemfag

>your smartphone requires quantum mechanics to function
lmao
