Only Americans can't debubk this
Brody Nguyen
John Howard
Order of operations got debunked.
Owen Price
BLA BLA BLA, BLA BLA. BLA BLA BLA: POK POK POK
Ian Wilson
If they really wanted to remove the ambiguity of order of operations they should have included infix or postfix notation in common core
Noah Ross
Once humans evolved past 7 segment calculators this became a non-issue. /
Robert Lewis
16 is correct. 1 is dumb
Gavin Baker
I see "common core" posted often, what is it and can trump end it like critical race theory?
Joshua Lewis
Yeah, I think PEMDAS predates "common core" and you would still get 16.
Jonathan Myers
1. Brackets first
2. Orders (i.e. Powers and Square Roots, etc.)
3. Division and Multiplication (left-to-right)
4. Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right)
It can only be 16. Because of the left-right rule. OP thinks its "division OR multiplication freely".
Burning question: Is OP a stupid slut?
Christopher Bell
What is the context?
Adrian Wood
sorry but wolfram has already been debunked
Jace Moore
The issue is with the use of '/' and '5(' instead of รท and x or *. Its written intentionally ambiguously so BIDMAS/PEMDAS doesnt work.
Noah James
To my understanding common core is taking basic math, adding in a bunch of visualisation exercises to help the retards while the smart kids sit at the back of the class playing with their dicks and getting marked down because they answered the question with basic fucking math instead of "number bonds"
Alexander Sanchez
20/5(2*2)
2*2=4
5*4=20
20/20=1
PLEASE EXCUSE MY DEAR AUNT SALLY!
Luis Barnes
This is an education fool with money on his mind
Ryan Ortiz
Yeah they really are doing a number on our kids. One of my sons assignment forced him to work the problem like this:
67+53 =
65+____+____+3=
___+____=
____
I mean, I understood what they were trying to do, but only after thinking about it way longer than I should have. They have made math intentionally retarded so everyone fails horribly. I told him their methods were dumb and taught him the right way. Better that he fails his class but learns how to do basic math. Fuck modern schools.
Bentley Ortiz
Fellow Kim, you're embarrassing us with your shitposts. Take this down.
Nolan Gomez
Wolfram is a shitty tool if it thinks the answer to that is ever 16
>Stephen Wolfram is Jewish
Of course he is, lmao
Daniel Ortiz
Division is just shorthand for multiplication by reciprocal. The answer is 16.
Isaac Baker
((()))
Jayden Jackson
This wouldn't be an issue if the bitch stuck with one notation for multiplication.
Elijah Barnes
That's like saying honor and honour are both correct spellings of the word honor.
Jack Rivera
Well it's also equal to
20-5+2-2 = 15
Debunked.
Lincoln Hernandez
>That's like saying honor and honour are both correct spellings of the word honor.
If anything it would make spelling it "honor" is incorrect.
Kayden Mitchell
Solution is to use postfix then you can't bebunked:
20 2 2 * 5 * /
or
20 5 / 2 2 * *
Noah Ross
checked and debunkpilled
could easily be interpreted as
20
---------
5(2*2)
Luke Diaz
no, PEMDAS you would get 1, hence the entire argument here I believe.
also, this is not written in the correct syntax in either cuntlords picture/ppt above or in the wolfram alpha. technically what we are looking at is something in the denominator with the 5.
as an engineer that has never had any issues with orders of operations, the correct answer here is 1, and anyone else saying its 16 is a kike. they are choosing an ambiguous example and purposely fucking with the syntax to exploit fringe examples.
the non kiked way of looking at this:
20 * (1/5*(2*2))
you are welcome anons, ok back to fucking matlab i hate you all
Lincoln Kelly
youve been effectively kiked swedebro, im really sorry, the answer should only ever be 1 in this specific case. see my post, dont trust kikes.
Luis Wood
interpreted as? there is no interpreted as in this case, there is only CORRECT and NOT CORRECT. you have it correct sir, as you are not retarded. well done.
Ayden Williams
i debunked your garbage thread in like 5 minutes, i thought asians were supposed to be smart? how come I am better than all of my asian peers at math? is asian math intelligence just a jewish myth to flood our schools?
Oliver Baker
It's about notation. The question is if 5(2*2) should be handled differently than 5*(2*2). My calculator says yes.
But it could easily be argued that they are the same. So it's about convention.
