I work in a physics lab as a younger engineer and most of the younger scientists and scientist failures (basic degrees, no phd) fit the bill for this kind of looser stereotype, and younger engineers do too but to a lesser extent

Science is used to fuel technology while religion fuels social cohesion and this is very measurable as lowered influence of religion is corresponding to unhappiness. The problem is the over-use of the word science. Are you talking about a conclusion reached by the scientific method? Are you talking about something that has been peer reviewed and tested multiple times? Are you talking about something that anyone could reproduce given the same resources and reach the same outcome?

Of course people believe science, it has more authority than every religion combined. That potential can easily be exploited.
For example zoology can be used in a pretty jewy way to push fags down your throat.
They like to pretend that scientific data is undisputed truth and separate facts can be used in the way they want.
