Have We Been Thinking About Long-Haul Coronavirus All Wrong?
>>doctors are increasingly worried about the significant subset of coronavirus patients—estimated to be somewhere around 10%—who are suffering symptoms like fatigue, brain fog and chronic pain for months on end. Many of them will soon fit the diagnostic criteria for ME/CFS, which is characterized by debilitating exhaustion lasting six months or longer.
>>In long-hauler support groups, there are countless stories of doctors who were skeptical, rude or unhelpful, if not baldly disbelieving. America’s slipshod coronavirus testing system also means many long-haulers can’t prove they had COVID-19 at all—a whole new headache when it comes to securing treatment. >this is a weird one, doctors not taking long haul symptoms seriously
>>Up to 2.5 million Americans fit that description—as will many coronavirus survivors as their symptoms approach the six-month mark. “The coronavirus pandemic is very likely over time to create almost a pandemic of ME,” says Dr. Ron Tompkins, a surgeon from Massachusetts General Hospital who also researches ME/CFS. Long-haulers who have persistent symptoms related to specific organ damage won’t fit that diagnosis, but thousands of people who now have inexplicable symptoms likely will.

Death rates from CONFIRMED infected cases >Covid 19 COMMON FUCKING COLD 14.3% in the United States (across 200 known viruses to classify illness as a common cold, which is estimated 2-4 cases per adult per year. In other words, you could be sick with the common cold 4 times a year with 4 different viruses and still survive that 14% mortality rate. Most people consider the common cold as allergies and don't even know they are sick.)
>Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) ~1.8% (going DOWN since 2004 and is STILL HIGHER than covid-19 in the US)
news.yahoo.com/trump-biden-plan-dueling-town-145602657.html Combative Trump insists pandemic almost over, Biden says he did 'nothing'.President Donald Trump delivered a combative defense on Thursday of his Covid-19 response while election challenger Joe Biden -- offering a glaring contrast in style in a rival town hall -- accused him of doing "nothing" to end the pandemic.
A study from Columbia University published on Thursday found that the number of Americans in poverty grew by 8 million since May.growth of poverty has been most acute for Black and Hispanic Americans, who have seen unemployment rates almost twice that of white Americans during the pandemic. Black and Hispanic Americans both have poverty rates of about 25%, up from 23% for both groups in January, while White Americans have a poverty rate of 12%, up from 11.2% in January.

Listen faggots, this is just an slightly worse cold. >b-but it's killing people!!! Yeah, people that are old as fuck or have underlying conditions. Even a common cold or a flu could have done the job with ease. >b-but look at I-Italy... a-and...S..s-spain!!! Those countries are full of boomers. Look at the US, they have much more infected, sure, but they have less old people so the death rate is much lower. >b-but this is S-SARS!!! A strain of SARS that replaced most of the lethality with infectivity turning into a literal cold. >b-but it's very contagious!!!! And? The cold is also very contagious, yet I don't see anyone panicked over the cold. >b-but it's mutating!!! Rabies and Ebola are probably mutating right now too in some shitty african country. Yet I don't see anyone panicking over Rabies and Ebola mutating and probably becoming airborne in one of those random mutations.
Fucking overrated nothingburger. LITERALLY THE COMMON COLD BUT SLIGHTLY WORSE. /CVG/ TOTALLY BTFO.

Coronavirus literally is THE flu, THE common cold and other respiratory infections renamed and with the statistics skewed to make it look more deadly than it actually is. Normal flu's fatality rate is calculated from ESTIMATED CASES, which includes assumed millions of people that will get it but have little or no symptoms and don't go to the hospital. "Coronavirus" fatality rate is calculated from CONFIRMED CASES which includes only people with symptoms grave enough to make them go to the hospital, which obviously results in a higher death rate. Thus these absurd 1-4% fatality rates instead of the normal 0.1% for flu season. On top of that, the test kits for coronavirus are experimental and often give false positives. People with severe respiratory infections are often being tested multiple times under the argument that the virus is hard to detect and thus false positives are more likely, resulting in an extremely inflated death rate.
Use your brain. If you believe any of this "deadly virus" shit you have been memed. You fell for a chink scam

So what? The Flu is, as is the common cold. Is this shit killing people under 70? No? Then it's literally the same shit we've been dealing with since before there was written language. Our culture, our laws, everything is already prepared for these changes. Death sucks, but it's part of life. 150,000 per day, and growing as we increase in population.
Asher Carter

news.yahoo.com/279-700-extra-deaths-us-183928603.html 279,700 extra deaths in the US so far in this pandemic year The number of deaths in the United States through September 2020 is at least 10% and likely 13% higher than it would have been if the coronavirus pandemic had never happened, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data. Conservatively, that’s at least 224,173 deaths and probably as many as 279,700 deaths above what was expected, just for the first nine months of the year. That’s 24,000 to 79,000 extra fatalities above the number of deaths attributed to COVID-19.
To calculate excess deaths requires a comparison to what would have occurred if COVID-19 had not existed. Obviously, it’s not possible to observe what didn’t happen, but it is possible to estimate it using historical data. The CDC does this using a statistical model based on the previous three years of mortality data, incorporating seasonal trends as well as adjustments for data-reporting delays.
Through September, that gives 279,700 deaths above what was expected. The CDC also calculates an upper threshold for the estimated number of deaths to help determine when the observed number of deaths is unquestionably high compared to historical trends. Even using that threshold as a very conservative standard means there were at least 224,173 excess deaths.
The magnitude of the excess deaths in 2020 makes clear that COVID-19 is much worse than influenza, even when compared to a bad flu year like 2017-18, when an estimated 61,000 people in the U.S. died of the illness. It doesn’t take a sophisticated statistical model to see that the coronavirus pandemic is causing substantially more deaths than would have otherwise occurred. the number of excess deaths in the U.S. currently exceeds the number attributable to COVID-19 by at least 23,674 and likely up to 79,201. >attention to all nothingburger fags, read this pls
