You should, I was an atheist then agnostic, but that was mainly because I was an edgy teenager and I wanted to pretend I knew better. Once you get into Christianity and you begin to understand the message it sends you start to realize that there is more to life than meets the eyes. Basically, people figured this shit out long ago and following Christ is the only blueprint you need for a successful life. Ignore the shills, saying that Christianity breeds passiveness, it doesn’t. What you see today, mostly, is a subverted version. I would also add that people don’t just wake up and go “Hey there is a God”, once you open yourself up you will begin to “see” things and recognize patterns. Keep the faith, God bless user.

Hi friend. Speaking as a vehement atheist who found Christ in his 30's, allow me to offer my thoughts.
>1.) Read the Bible in its entirety. This might sound daunting, which is why I recommend a guided reading program. The Bible Project has a good one that takes roughly a year to complete (so it's not overwhelming) and provides videos before each book that provide historical and theological context. Definitely helped me on my first read-through.
>2.) Find a fundamentalist church that teaches from the Bible. I won't get into sects and denominations (which is heretical in and of itself as it implies division in the body of Christ), but be wary of (((progressive))) heresies like acceptance of homosexuality, female pastors, and the like. Remember, tolerance is not a Christian virtue.
>3.) Find a Life Group or Men's Group to connect with. Authentic Christian fellowship, which is a huge part of your Christian walk for a number of reasons, cannot happen if you're only spending an hour a week in church, most of which is spent listening to a sermon or worshiping.
>4.) When you accept Christ as your Lord and savior, be baptized in His name.

You start reading the book of Matthew. It's basically a story about Jesus constantly telling the Jews that they will not inherit the kingdom of God, and that it will instead be given to those who produce the fruits of His kingdom.
Then you continue through the New Testament. Proverbs is also wonderful for a change of pace and filled with tremendous wisdom.

Baptism is for those who have already taken the Christ pill, my friend. Jesus Himself was not baptized until he was 30 if I recall correctly.
