A straight comparison like this between countries should work harder to breakout other variables that swings the significance of the salary column, for example, the currency that salary is issued in, the social programs offered to people at that station, the GDP and the amount and friction/speed of goods and services in that nation those fiat currencies might be used to employ, and a bunch of other hidden benefits and hidden costs.
When you untangle all of that, you'll find the variation is even wider and the USA isn't on the top of the list anymore.
