If USA repeals Section 230 giving immunity to social media companies What will that do to Zig Forums and Zig Forums?

This is a forum, not a social media platform. Also, the problem with facebook and youtube for example is that they claim to be a free and open platform when it's convenient for them (i.e. they want to claim they are not responsible for allowing pedo shit to be uploaded and stay up for a long period of time), but then claim that they're not free and open and they can/must control all content that passes through them when it's convenient for an agenda they want to push.

What differentiates Zig Forums from those two is that Zig Forums will take down the pedo shit and illegal things much quicker (though they can't control people reposting them aside from shoahing the threads), and Zig Forums doesn't censor other posts unless they violate states rules for a specific board. On top of that, it's community moderated by unpaid jannies and when things slip through the cracks they have that as an excuse. Facebook and Youtube are not community moderated, they're multi-billion dollar media corporations who shouldn't have the luxury of playing dumb about what they do with regards to allowing or censoring posts.

Immunity should only be given to content providers that ONLY remove illegal content. Should they curate every post and censor private messages they should be held accountable for their actions.

With that repealed then it would be realistic to sue to companies that perform censorship enmasse.

It is an unambiguous legal term. When your platform (museum, newspaper, movie theater) permits it to be displayed/hung/published by your client, then you/the platform editorially retract it yourself and bar client input, that is censorship.
