Conan is funny. Fallon is almost tolerable. Colbert used to be funny on his old show when he was doing actual parody instead of unironically seething like he does now. And he was a lot more sane back then, as was the entire left platform. Remember just a few short years ago when shows like this were considered just comedy and not propaganda? It wasn't that long ago, like maybe 6-7 years.

I recently started watching television again recently bc i found a website that streams live tv. So the office is on 24/7 on comedy central and i actually kind of enjoy the show so i watch it quite often when i have nothing else to do. Anyway its live television and there are adverts. One of them is for trevor noahs show the daily show. He films it remotely with a shitty webcam bc covid and with no audience or canned laughter or camerawork its just.... i mean, he wasnt funny anyway, but its so much more on the nose just how unfunny he is with no production budget. At one point it cuts away to him making silly faces and looking bored with his own show, doing a mitch mcconnell impression that doesnt sound like mitch at all and doing whacky voices/faces in general. Its so depressingly unprofessional. I will cop to laughing at jon stewart back in the day (patrick lahey is the gay-hee), he was funny.

Trevor noahs unfunniness needs to be a bipartisan issue.

The reason right wing memes are funny is because there's always an element of truth to them. It might be uncomfortable or greatly exaggerated, but it's there. You notice misfortune in the world that you hadn't noticed before. You have a slightly different perspective now. Example: lefty smiles and tells school shooter with gun that he can't be shot because he's in a gun free zone.

The reason the left can't meme is because their worldview makes it too difficult to dish out the truth. Untruths need lots of supporting untruths to seem more plausible (hence the walls of text on simple comics). And this is why you hear them desperately wanting to 'give context' or put up 'content warnings'. They're terrified that someone might actually change their point of view.

So then, if it's about preserving points of view and not about the truth, it's very difficult to actually be funny. The only times I've actually laughed at any left leaning comedy is when they get a jab in that's actually true, and that's rare and something unrelated to politics.

It’s almost like they were never there to entertain you in the first place.

The worst is Seth Meyers who turned SNL into editorial comedy and DNC cheerleaders.

Conan has just disappointed me. He changed his show format which didn't feel right to me. Then he jumped on the TDS bandwagon and started to decline in quality. On top of quarantine content, his decline has been sad to watch.
