Why should I take his advice when it clearly hasn't worked for him? He seems like a nice guy, but his philosophy clearly doesn't work.

I've never trusted any brain pharmaceutical, he used to go on about them being exactly what people need and it's great science. He found out the hard way getting off that crap. It feels like they solve every problem you had but eventually wear out and you're stuck with them.

The conspiracy is that he was prescribed them for "anxiety". Sadly Peterson was skeptical of psychology but still had some faith in the other medical institutions. Hang all pharma companies pushing benzos.

He's actually is the perfect definition of a grifter. Preaches self help and coaches people on personal strength, yet epically deteriorated when it came to his own mental health. I had a problem with benzo's back in the day, the same ones he used. Instead of crumbling and undertaking risky medical procedures to get off of them, I slowly tapered over a 2 month period with very little to no withdrawal. Haven't touched pharmaceuticals in over 3 years. The way he dealt with his addiction to benzo's proves to me that he was always a weak minded individual feigning as a self help guru. Ironically people trying to solve your problems often need help the most.

The way I see it is he fell prey to my biggest fear. Someone tricked him into taking meds he didn't need and now the JBP we've seen in the past doesn't exist. This is terrifying, no matter what your opinion of the man is.

Even Etilozam and Phenibut are dangerous. Those drugs are dangerous also if you start drinking. Alcohol can be fairly forgiving in relation to Benzos, but that's also a powerful GABA drug.
