Checked. MySpace was great for meeting chicks. Seems like they were more innocent about online chatting then, more normal and free. No one was making money at it, for one thing.

Facebook has been differentiating its portfolio for a long time now. Instagram will alone keep it afloat for some time. Initially Facebook's gimmick was that it was cleaner and more streamlined than clunky MySpace.
As soon as the competition was gone it bloated and became much worse.
