The vast majority of Americans have the "high and tight" style of circumcision which keeps the inner foreskin. "Low and tight" style of circumcision has the circumcision cut directly below the glans rather than further down the shaft and no inner foreskin. Routine circumcision is still not recommended by the American Association of Pediatrics, you lose mechanical function and the most sensitive ridged band etc.
