I am required to state, as part of a college writing assignment (poly sci class), which candidate I will be voting for in the 2020 U.S. presedential election. This statement of my voting choice -- together with a short argument as to why -- will count for 5% of my final grade for the course.

I will not be completing that part of the assignment, as it's unamerican (and perhaps illegal) to compel someone to reveal whom they will be voting for during an upcoming secret ballot. I will probably not be bringing the issue to the attention of anyone at the college until final grades have been given.
