Are you ready for non-stop chaos. war and famine for the rest of your adult lives?
the last time we had as large of a change in communication technology was the invention of the printing press.
The printing press led to Martin Luther and the protestant reformation and created 150 years of non stop religious warfare which killed about 20% of Europe from 1510 to 1650. The creation of the internet in the same way is fragmenting people who are dissatisfied with the status quo and fostering extremism but we have seen this before. While Luther first challenged the church, his followers soon fragmented, you had the rise of the calvanists and a million sects that followed. The original fake news was the printing press created the platform for Malleus Maleficarum to go viral and led to witch trials which spread across europe which resulted in an execution of an estimated 50-100k people.
It started with German princess who did not want to be beholden to Catholic power. It led to large scaled civil wars, full blown wars between states, political assassinations on a daily basis, back alley battles, blood spilled in capitals, in alleyways. You had massive famines and wars basically nonstop for 150 years.
We are only at the beginning of a dark age of chaos. The printing press took 80 years to be adapted, the internet took 20 years. If we go by the same time frame, you should expect 35-40 years of non-stop civil war, global wars, famine.
It's such a shame. OP makes a well thought out post and yet the only people who respond are the mouth breathers. Have a bump OP. I have contemplated just this sort of thing.
Justin Jenkins
Information comes from entropy producing more bits of yes and no questions. The Information Age alternative name is the Age of Chaos--- the Kali Yuga.
Luis Parker
I'm a bit bored.. so why not? also tldr
Jonathan Lee
I sit here in the woods hoping that it wont happen, but in my heart I know it will. I just fear for the world any children I have will live in. It wont be easy but we must do as all others before us did and fight for our freedoms.
Anthony Walker
It's really going to happen this time guys, trust me!!
Connor Turner
>tldr If you people would just go the fuck back you would not need to worry about being literate. Just fuck off. No one wants you here.
Indeed OP, a type of reformation will occur due to unlimited access to largest library on the planet. The powers that be hope to create the their world order, as the internet was the first true global infrastructure created in recorded history. Who will tap the pathos? You already have, the populist movement of the last decade was the first wave. Remember, when they can you a conspiracy theorist they’re calling you a heretic for breaking away from the Church of Abominations for questioning the institutions and plutocrats earthly authority.
Jace Carter
Maybe? But at the same time not every change caused such a reaction. Radio and television were revolutionary in their own right. Yet no mass chaos was caused by them.
Nicholas Peterson
radio and television are one way technology. Books spread ideas and then people gathered in small groups and created the feeback mechanism of factionalism. The radio and tv was being controlled by the states in the 20th century to concentrate control. The internet is in its heart a decentralizing technology. Yes google can ban you, but you can seek out your own corners on the dark web. This is far more like the printing press than TV/Radio.
Jack James
Hitler rose to power thanks to the power of the radio, most people knew him from the radio. In fact, the radio airwaves used to be as free as the internet until it was regulated to death.
Adrian Miller
>Radio and television were revolutionary in their own right. Yet no mass chaos was caused by them. user... youtube.com/watch?v=tLDz5QIjQb0 Much of the chaos of the 20th century was indirectly related to the mass communications revolution. Note how populistic ideologies flourished in a way that never existed before.
Julian Evans
Alright I somewhat take back what I said. Radio and television did lead to large scale conflicts by increasing public knowledge and Gov ability to disperse information. However I don't think that equates to the constant conflict and strife that OP predicts. No more then the constant wars my country already faces at least. America has been engaged in conflicts since its beginning almost constantly. The internet will act as the means of communication starting new conflicts in my lifetime I'm sure. But I don't necessarily think its gonna lead to strife and famine directly. Possibly though the spread of various ideologies. But wouldn't they have spread regardless through the cucked tv channel's and word of mouth? >tbf I'm 21 so the internet has always been a thing in my mind >I'm sure I dont see the changes the same as those who lived without.
Matthew Long
>famine Famine's for ethiopians and irish beta males
Julian Morgan
Why are you posting a sad wojak lol. If the US breaks down into chaos I am going to commit so much crime to Vietnam war songs holy shit.
Nicholas Jenkins
the thing with sectarian violence is that verbal violence very quickly descend into actual violence and violence very quickly spirals out of control. It doesn't take much. A few people that lose their jobs due to the twitter lynch mob get their lifes ruined starts assassinating people and all hell will break lose.
Hunter Adams
if it helps the future for Aryan souls I am all for it.
>America has been engaged in conflicts since its beginning almost constantly. The conflicts which you are referring to are in almost every case state sponsored acts of aggression against weaker states. Business as usual for empires. What OP and others are talking about is populist-based conflict. Ever hear of the saying that war is when your government tells you who the enemy is and revolution is when you figure out who the enemy really is? The reason why the future will be so interesting is because this ruling oligarchy has set up a system that is totally predicated on lies and unnatural power structures. Every time people point out these insane hypocrisies, they are pocking little holes in the weak foundation which this tyrannical jewish oligarchy stands. This is what Martin Luther did when he pointed out how the Papist regime were hypocrites. Eventually the entire structure buckled under its own weight and the world descended into war.
Bentley Bell
I am excited for it. When it starts, I will begin a purge of leftists in my area.
Ayden Lopez
You got this from the thread on DNC on /k/ didn’t you?
Jonathan Lopez
The only thing I'm ready for is a red New York.
Aaron Howard
I'm looking forward to it
Anthony Walker
The internet is going to lead to an era of significant de-urbanization.
Thomas Butler
>when reddit calls you out blue on blue
Camden Bailey
No he didnt. We had this thread in /k/ last week. He just copy pasted.
Luis Gutierrez
What a great thread. Yes. And the roman road pax romana was the earlier equivalent of the printing press. Expanded information between previously separate groups.
Whenever you see or think about a Jew, say to yourself as follows. Behold, the mouth that I see there has every Saturday cursed, execrated, and spat upon my dear lord Jesus Christ, who has redeemed me with His precious blood; and also prayed and cursed before God that I, my wife and children, and all Christians should be stabbed and perish in the most miserable manner and would like to do so himself of he could, that he might come into the possession of our goods. Should I eat, drink with, or speak to such a devilish mouth? I would partake of all Devils who live in that Jew, and would spit upon the precious blood of Christ, God keep me from doing so
