More specifically around the Northern Russian coast. How's life there?
What happens here?
Maybe you should google Perma frost to better understand why the tundra is a baron wasteland.
Giant boreholes and tsar bomba fallout
>russia gets to have 9 seas
nice
Really Asian looking people who speak proto-Finnic languages live there but they don't geld reindeer with their teeth like the Finns do. Fucking freaks.
>How's life there?
I don't think there is
Murmansk, just on the edge of Norgay's circle, is a surprisingly vibrant city due to being the home of the Northern Fleet. A lot of great bars for a city that small.
Makes Arkhangelsk look like Ukhta.
Somewhat big industrial cities left over from the USSR, sitting in the middle of nowhere. Actually pretty chill place, with hot women and cheap booz.
literal frozen wasteland
also secret naval bases
nothing of interest desu
Commieblock: Subzero edition + some random eskimo chinks thrown in
Too cold. Just like Canada's north it's unlivable 10 months of the year.
The blast was so gigantic there was practically no fallout. Everything just turned to nothing
No if you go on Google Maps there's several towns spread across the coast. Literally never seen any media depticting life there, kinda interested.
I tried to exclude the Kola peninsula, as it's more known and more traditionally Russian. No idea about the rest of the coast line though.
Imagine being stuck in the Leptev sea
You're so fucked and far from civilization
Shitty cold towns that are based on mining and smelting industries, because some expensive metals can be found there. Most of those towns started as gulags and later became normal cities. Nowadays people are incentivised to live and work there by higher salaries than in non-depressing hellhole cities.
When you look at the photos the cities look like theyre just made of commie blocks android factories, nothing else. Color of skies depends on what are factories fuming out at the moment.
Many of those cities are part of special districts considered of strategic importance for the state and thus youre not allowed to go there unless you have a good reason (tourism isnt good reason)
only sperm frost there
imagine the kind of ruskie shit that goes down around those blocks
Russian doomers will FUD this but personally it looks comfier than London.
*and instead of android. Fucking chink autocorrect
see the parts that look "southern" ish by lake baikal. It gets stupid cold there like -33 -35 in winter. Now imagine how much colder it gets in the northern northern parts
10
There is certainly some charm in such cities, but you probably have to be complete doomer and alcoholic to appreciate it. (most russian are both so thats ok)
Tiksi is /comfy/. Kind of like Oulu; no one pays attention to you and no one wants to talk to strangers and as long as you don't make a fuss, even the politsiya don't bother checking your papers.
isn't that the most depressed city on the world? I think the only exist because there were mines. Must really suck to live there
Why Russia so big?
Me thinks communist Russia should have donated much lands to little States so everyone would be equal and happy.
Me doesn't understand why communists were so egoistic and blind.
A little Russia would have testified how good and open communists were during their ruling.
Little Russia but big communist hearts!
watch Happy people documentary on YT
These are über-Saami.
Yakutsk looks less doomer than Norilsk
>No immigrants
>No migrants
>Only White Russian kids who you grow up
>Lots of work available after high school
>Girls are good looking
>No 2000$ per month rent for 50 square feet one room cuck apartments
I’m not so sure Hans.
At least Sakha republic is over 50% ethnic Sakha.
aka Samoyedic people ("self-eating")
Depressing, imagine living there. This pic is from Dikson, Russia.
Is the trans-siberian railroad worth taking?
The Russians (along with Azeris, Tatars and Ukrainians) ARE the migrants.
Norislk do be lookin fine in the summer doe.
But are those authentic Nokian boots?
>looks cozier than Philadelphia
am I the only one who dislikes those "new" names? Yakutia sounds better imo.
I was taught that the Russian rye harvest was really manpower intensive, so they had a lot of kids for farming. During the summer there wasn't anything to do, so they just fought their way through the horde lands and became the heirs to the Mongol empire desu.
But everything I've been taught is a lie. So IDK.
Mongol rape babies maybe.
nothing special, just small towns where live families of people working in some kinds of coal mines
Mainly gooks and slavogooks living quasinomadic lives. So in short, nothing.
No wonder everyone dies of liver disease
they live a little further south, not in the area that op showed
The sky looks beautiful.
>>Only White Russian kids who you grow up
"White people"
everyday is an adventure
Ehh, they are endonyms so I like them better.
Most likely not, they're just that way. Have been on that region for around a millenia.
Imagine the mosquito plague.
any new news about the massive leak near norilsk several months ago?
Yikes I take that back
Didn’t know it was ethnically like Finland
god dammit, this looks depressing.
They at least should put some green spaces between these commie blocks
Nothing
she's pure asian, where do you see "hybrid" here
these things are related
Really looks alien to me, like I can't believe that city actually exists.
There's a reason "White Russian" refers to alcohol, and it's FASinating.
Hahah real funny. Norilsk is a soulless workbased city, it is incredibly packed and ethnically diverse as people all over Russia come over to work there.
Every single window you can see in pic has a kid playing CS:GO behind it.
she’s cute. I like her freckles
North Siberian, not Ricecel. It'd be like calling Arabs and Scandis the same.
