Europeans generally fit into 3 groups. Parts of those groups are present outside Europe. There are other non-Eurooean groups that reach our standards. These eople shoild be immigrants first as the main change will be cultural. The "white" portion comes from the idea that although the individual nation should hold their culture in common there is no way for the old stock of European nations to compete with nations the size of China or India despite our advatages, short of war. In an economic and cultural competition it would make sense to pool our resources and politics. In America, a predominantly British and German nation, this manifests itself as "whiteness" specifically in comparison to the other. It isnt any harm to allow french or portuguese ppl to assimilate as they are more similar than different when compared to black/latino/asians and will never pose a demographic threat to the old stock. However its plain to see in anitdotle and academoc evidence that people of different groups have vastly different attitudes and potential as a default. If we took all the black people smart enough to compete with or even out compete the average white person, not only would there not be ppl capable of operating successful nations in black countries, but due to behavioral and cultural differences they will form generally into a large group that will see us as the other.
Look at latinos today and how after reaching the population they have today they are bith a part of "colored" ppl in relation to "whiteness" but also cultivate their own ideals and attitudes seperate from colored ppl, and especually black ppl, at large. Indians and Chinese americans certainly dont see themselves as the same as blacks or latinos or even white ppl.
