Georgia's REPUBLICAN chief of operations concluded that "He would have won by 10 thousand votes, but he actually suppressed his own voting base". He lost 24.000 votes from the primary due to suppressing the mail vote. Georgia also purged the everliving SHIT out of voter rolls during the Governor election and did so again, apparently catching much of the republican base in the process. Democrats were being told to check their registration again and again, but no republicans were pushing for the same, meaning the echo chambers on the left were getting people back in the voter roll while the right was staying out of it.
A better comparison would be how many votes did he lose by vs. how many people who died of COVID or didn't vote due to being sick/hospitalized, since the virus has been disproportionaly affecting his base who kept going out and not wearing masks, especially in R controlled states/cities that were not enforcing any lockdowns.
