Is Computer Science worth it

I'm already good at math and stuff and I' interested in trying to get more people to be more technology savvy

Plus I enjoy the works of
>Computer programmer, video game developer, rocket scientists, Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, supergenius alien, time-traveling space wizard, psychic super soldier prototype, sentient galaxy brain memed, interdimensional over genius and experimental artificial intelligence gone rogue, the Texas based techno-cryptoid, a vessel that houses an energy based fourth-dimensional being, a part time astrophysicists and our only insurance against an overwhelming alien incursion, a hyper intelligent engineer & architect of the postmodern singularity simulation we all live in, a death frightening scion capable of seeing through the illusionary world before our eyes, the one and only ageless organism housed inside the meat suit we call John Carmack; because its real name is unpronounceable by the human tongue

Even if he got cucked by Zucc with Oculus

Should I got for it?

nothing in life is worth it if you dont enjoy it, ask yourself if you enjoy CS then you will have your answer
i took CS despite sucking at math and i regret wasting 2 years till i finally dropped out from being filtered

This I might drop out of comp sci because I dont care for the math.

All my comp sci friends from college got great jobs go for it.

Guess I'm staying in comp sci

What is the point of the videos? I'm not asking about the subject I am asking what is the point of us to see these?

yes

If you like being unemployed for months or years at a time in an industry with a massive oversupply of labor, sure.

Only if you can stand working with Indians.

Your degree wont matter after your first job.

what did you end up doing with your life, brazilcel?

Computer science programs are a waste of time.
Learn coding on your own and start a business with the money you saved.

>Studying to get a job and not start a business

I taught myself cs for 2 or 3 years and got a job in a week after I started looking. Was an engineer before that so maybe I had more credibility because of that.

not anymore

Seems like the entire field was sold to india

you dont need to be good at math anyway

learning it on your own is for autists

Thank u so much user

I lived in Jersey man, I can handle Currycucks

Noted

Hoping luck is on my side with that

Also this. If I'm working for other people by the time I'm 30 I might just off myself. Point of taking on a job is to study their org and start your own.

comp sci degree gets your foot in the door, but you also have to be competent and dont expect your job to be interesting or fun

I'm 25 and in the top 20% of earners in the UK immediately after graduating because of CS. It's worth it but the industry is filled with woke shit and incompetents.

FUCK ME SIDEWAYS THAT'S A LOT OF STREETSHITTERS

This is true if you are unskilled. If you are good at what you do or if you specialize in something sought after, companies will suck you off for a chance to give you an offer.

yes ML is free money for anyone math oriented
I've known jews in silicon valley to literally pay $500K salaries for fucking basic bitch OCR I shit you not

get a masters/phd, load your pockets, then move somewhere not pozzed and have a big white family

also on the topic of obviously good life advice buy chainlink and get fit if for some reason you haven't already

Is it easy to freelance shit?

Half true
I know people that aren't good at math and taught themselves with for dummies and stuff like that

Don't listen to this stupid Brazilian.
It's good money. Take the money. You don't have to enjoy your job to enjoy the money. You have 16 hours a day outside of an eight hour shift, who cares?

If you have to ask then you don't need to know...

If you genuinely like Computer Science and math, do it. If you don’t like math or suck at it and don’t intend on getting better don’t do it.

yeah I mean it probably helps being good at math, but its not necessary. You can learn things as you go. Most people who were shit at math in high school just didnt put enough effort into it.

Not anymore. 20 years ago, yes for sure. Now? Not so much. Too many pajeets already imported to take the jobs we couldn't outsource.

>calling me stupid
>wasting his life working something he hates
ok

If you're good and have a portfolio etc then yeah, totally doable and pays well. Personally I'm just getting name recognition in my employment history whilst I'm young, I work for a (((bank))) but working to get into a pure tech place soon.

kek that picrel.
Anything artsy is just a matter of connections, luck, and having refined taste. The first is the only one you *could* gain from college. You'd still be better off spending those 4 years working on a blog/youtube channel and submitting your work to literally anyone who'll look at it.

The only thing you can do with a social science degree is apply to grad school and become a professor teaching that bullshit to the next generation of chumps.

And Sports Science is just for nogs on football scholarships.

currently working for my family till i can figure something out, not happy with that by any means, but i am happier than when i was wasting my life doing something i hate

Go for it, but keep in mind that a CS degree it's basically "the friends we made along the way", doesn't matter if you are a competent programmer if you don't have the networking

Just to make sure. I saw the first video and the other ones seem just to show OP what are the subjects of the degree.

normal stuff, out of 40 people that started in my class only 7 graduated

nothing you learn in school about math has ANYTHING to do with computer science.

This, lot of people who got in 20 years ago with multiple mcmansions.
Crazy how it's gone from that to being an average job if you can find one.
Granted you'll be in the top 20% but it will be what was considered an average middle class existence 30 years ago, minus the ability to support a family.
When you're doing your 20th culture fit interview while on food stamps, remember that I warned you.

Understood user
Thanks :]

im gonna be in the same situation, brazilbro. im not cut out for EE. I'll have to be a jannie like my father. good luck. i hope u figure out what to do

I'm not a nursing major but I thought nursing was good? Any idea why it's on there?

If you have even a sliver of doubt please stay the fuck away

what a pussy way of thinking

>doesn't matter if you are a competent programmer
the vast majority if you aren't so yeah, if you are just like everybody else make sure to make a lot of friends

a lot of dumb foids get into nursing and barely scrape by.
if they manage to graduate, they usually can't get hired anywhere.

>try and suck at it
its your funeral

Listen to this smart Brazilian.
I went to college for bizniss and got a job in finance because I thought that's what I was "supposed" to do. Absolutely hated it. 10 hours a day of staring at spreadsheets and talking about other people's money. I complained about it to my dad and he said "get used to it because you'll be doing that every day for the next 40 years."

I quit and became a general contractor. Way more satisfying and doesn't make me want to eat buckshot. Still regret falling for the college meme tho

if you know what job you want, see if you can get it by self learning, or getting certs for some course they require.

if they require a degree go to school to get degreee.

you dont learn in school, you just get the paper, remember that.

You can make good money as a knitter if you are good at it. You can make good money doing anything that ships, computer programming included, you need to ship programs.

So how do you get good in shipping something, be it computer programs or knitted hats?

ANSWER: by enjoying it. If you don't enjoy it you will always be shit-tier.
