I just got back from shopping. I shop at a health food store that only sells pasture raised meat, never factory farmed, so it comes with a premium. It's still not as high as what you claim. Factory farmed meat is even cheaper, beef being about $1-2 cheaper/lb and factory farmed chicken being significantly cheaper than pasture raised, about $2-4 cheaper/lb.
That's about 2-3x the price of that shit in the US.
