That Iran operates F-14s. Unironically one of the best BWR aircraft, which will dab on many neibouring airforces, assuming proper maintanance and crew training.
One good thing the arms embargo did to Iran is they really built a good domestic arms industry. Although many of them are copy paste shits but at least they can command their own foreign policy and not beholden to anyone.

Okay. I am not an expert on this but as far as I read Iranian's aircrafts are really old and outdated and are urgently in need of an upgrade which they couldn't do because of the arms embargo. I may be wrong.
