Geoff announced months ago he was pulling out of E3 because of information that surfaced that day about E3 doing a total overhaul to be more politically correct and millennial friendly.
Keighley distanced himself from that shit like 7 years ago.

Maybe they arent and thats what 12 year old really want to see. They dont care about the next gen consoles specs, or visuals, or even new games. They just want Ninja and Pewdiepie telling them what to play next

Their plan is to use e3 as a way to allow the scummiest publishers to get away with more shit, the regular studios don't get anything out of this at all

Because Nintendo's E3 presence for years has just been "here's some game demo booths and a tournament". They haven't done actual live shows in a while.

It's all just for lining their own pockets and selling ad space. NBA players aren't cheap, but getting people who normally wouldn't watch E3 to catch a glimpse of their favorite sports star while watching commercials in between is a pretty penny.

Geoff knows how to get the good stuff while also doing the mandatory advertising shilling, the cringe is part of the charm of the game awards now, he's unironically great at what he does, his final hours of valve games are top tier
