Subnautica Thread

It's that time again off work and ready to go deep

How'd you like the game?

One of my favorite games of the last few years. My only complaint is that the magic of my first playthrough started to fade once I figured out how easy it is to avoid all the predators.
Playing with permadeath still keeps things kind of tense but it doesn't compare to when I first played and was terrified to even get close to reefbacks.

I'm just about to hatch the 5 eggs

It was great until around the middle of the game. When the realization set in of how limited the game was, and there wasn't nearly as much to explore or do as I'd first thought. Which also greatly limits the replay value.

Also I just realized I never self-scanned, do I lose the data entry if I don't scan before touching this jelly?

One of the most atmospheric games in recent history next to My summer car. How is the DLC coming along?

i really like the sound design
is the second game as good in this regard?

No, the sound designer was removed for wrongthink and the game suffered for it

Why is below zero taking so long?

Did they ever actually finish this game or did they just move on to the sequel for more money

meant for

They finished it, it's highly playable and have a bunch of mods

I played this game for 2 hours, nothing scary happened, it was just swimming around doing nothing.

This is the worst "horror" game I've ever played.

I'm just here to build nice bases

what did he wrongthink?

>finished
Not with that awful pop-in and lack of content it isn't.

>Cleveland subsequently deleted the poll, to which Chylinski had responded in 2016, “we need a ‘diversity’ slider in the options. It will make the character progessively [sic] darker more feminie [sic] and less sexy.” Cleveland called Chylinski’s behavior “trolling” on February 3 of this year.

>“importing random ppl from the 3rd world is also importing 3rd world tier crime rates and IQ.”
No wonder the sound design is the best part of the game and Below Zero is fubar

>Cleveland called Chylinski’s behavior “trolling”
Why is this the default? Any opinion I don't agree with isn't actually rooted in any information it's just trolling to get a response? Is it so they can dismiss it without argument? Do they really lack the comprehension to understand how dangerous it is to just dismiss everything they don't agree with and never entertain another school of thought?

>Is it so they can dismiss it without argument?
Yes

>want to build a large, expansive base
>can't because some resources don't respawn
One job.

Any other games that let me maintain and drive a big vehicle like the cyclopes?

apparently he was an esltard anyways from all the [sic]s in the quote.
also you morons love to talk about “entertaining” things that are literally incorrect. fuck you for pushing the idea of “subjective truth”

Pretty nice of you to assume my beliefs and ideals for me and then disregard all of my views based on that assumption, proving my point for me. What a nice guy.

it had a big update just today my friend

EVERY FUCKING THREAD YOU FAGGOTS HAVE TO RUIN!

Reminder that this game doesn't have Steam Cloud integration for whatever reason.

Blame the developer for firing him and making it relevant to the game

> fuck you for pushing the idea of “subjective truth”
Who do you mean by 'you'?

It was finished, though there's a lot about the game that feels like they rushed to call it done and move on. So many gameplay mechanics were removed or left half baked, the last biomes they added were really phoned in, and the game really needed some optimisation and bugfixes.

There's just enough polish to the game that it doesn't totally feel like an unfinished early access game, but it doesn't live up to the potential.

Which ones don't respawn? I know a lot of them in the ILZ do because of the scanner room showing both Magnetite and Gold suddenly popping in when I pick one up.

The drillable stuff doesn't respawn. Though by the time I had the prawn and the cyclops to taxi it around, I'd already realized bases were only really useful for charging batteries.

Yeah pretty much, although I really want to make a big zoo with the center being crabsquids.
Does metal scrap respawn? I know it's needed for Stalker Teeth at least.

La creatura....

Scrap is the only non-organic resource that respawns.

Scrap does, and you can gather titanium really fast that way. It's just stuff like copper that's a pain.
