It's a weird mixture of atmospheres, beautiful but feels very bleak and hopeless. Used to blast this shit many months ago, when I lost my relationship and quit my job

A lot of people go a long time without feeling it. What causes it seems different for everyone. People say they get it from ASMR videos where people whisper into the mic but those just make me uncomfortable. I got it a few times from movies or music but it was literally just a few times in like 20 years. Wasn't until I was going through a rough period that I took notice of it more and realized how good it felt and tried to make it happen more. I noticed though that it seems less likely to happen if I'm tired and getting sleepy, and since most people today seem to be sleep deprived it's not surprising they don't experience it much. And some people say that it seems harder to make happen if they're using drugs.
