GOG version of Streets of Rage 4 does NOT have multiplayer

ign.com/articles/streets-of-rage-4-gog-online-multiplayer

>PC copies of Streets of Rage 4 purchased from GOG.com do not support online multiplayer, despite being priced the same as the Steam version that does feature online capabilities.

>The GOG store page for Streets of Rage 4 has a disclaimer stating: “Please note that at this time, the DRM-Free version supports local co-op only with up to 4 players. The 2-player online mode is not available.”

>While that note claims there is no online mode “at this time”, a tweet from developer Lizardcube suggests that online won’t be coming to the GOG version of the game. “Unfortunately the GOG version of the game won’t be supporting online features,” the studio said in response to a fan asking about cross-play with Steam users.

KEK - what an irrelevant shitter of a dead service bitch

Anyone who thinks GOG is a valid alternative to Steam

For what purpose?

>MUH DRMZZZZzzzzZZzzZZZzzzZzzz!!!!!1 *spittle*

Cope gog drone

Single Player games = gog
Multiplayer Games = Steam
Fortnite = Epic Store
Titanfall 2 = Origin
Nintendo Exclusives = Nintendo Eshop

That's it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

There's a clear note stating that it does not have ONLINE multiplayer, what's the problem? There's still local multiplayer, stop spreading lies in your title.

I'm sure modders will fix it.

offline installer
no drm

>506517381
Yawn. This is getting old.
Do you think anons have that short attention span? Do you think anons forget your other spams?
Kill yourself. You're way beyond pathetic at this point.

why do you all care anyway? you fucking pirate everything so who gives a shit whats going on in stores?

>it's only half the game for the same price so calm the fuck down!

Does the steam version has a search option for matchmaking or something for online play?

>buying from gog
>For what purpose?

This /\

Multiplayer is a meme. All games should be able to stand on single player alone.

pirating the steam version you might be able to play online with steamworksfix or something, but pirating the gog version means you literally can't play online or even "lan" (using vpns).

>There's a clear note stating that it does not have ONLINE multiplayer

That wasn't true at first

Fuck off epicshill.

then don't buy it from gog?

Fuck off cuckold shill

Yeah that'll show em :)

I like old games

Will Steamies ever have sex?

JUST

I don't care. Playing with others, especially online, is pure cancer.

The onlines shit anyways

>The onlines shit anyways

Steam also has remote play together, which is IMO better than P2P. GOG drones cucked again

I've been playing Steam version online but lag has been terrible, is it just me? Am I matching with 3rd worlders?

>PC port has features that are Steam exclusive
Isn't this the case with the majority of games that are on both platforms, especially the newer ones? There is no GoG Workshop, GAC ban system or proper game server hosting

I know my gog version of chroma squad didn't get the level editor that steam got and that was years ago.

>I don't care. Playing with others, especially online, is pure cancer.

GOG drones confirmed for fucking losers lmao

Yeah there are a lot of games that have the same issue, some guy used to track them with a GoGmix (are those gone now?) but the one that was most annoying for me was Luftrausers - which I never bought because it never got patched past the v1.0.0 build apparently.
