REmake 1 is peak classic RE and REmake 2 is peak nuRE.

It was far ahead of its time, and I can attest to it being good.
But it had quite a few issues (clunky AI partners, long loading times, lack of puzzles) that held it back.
If it were released today, with a couple of tweaks, it would be better receive.

You have serveral characters to choose from each with their strength and weaknesses,you can choose your AI partners too
The infection gauge,in this game you are NOT immune to the virus if you get bitten or attacked your virus gauge will fill up and no you can't stop it only stall it
Different scenarios each with different enemies aka Zombie lions,Elephants,lickers,leech zombies,Tyrants zombie dogs,plant zombies etc so the game never feels the "same"
You can play onlines with pals for more fun
This game is the epitome of ahead of it's time,if you are a RE fan this is a must

Probably OG 2. Personally it's the Outbreak games. I was fully on board with them. Even bought Final Fantasy Online just for the HDD for Outbreak. The craziest thing I found about that games community? There were a lot of women playing it. Like an odd amount.

I don't know if it'd quite be the same if they were released again. Half the fun was the lack of voicechat so you were limited in what you could co-ordinate. It really helped make you feel isolated when shit hit the fan and everyone all ran off in different directions.

Outbreak cannot exist in the modern game industry landscape. It just cannot. Why would anyone make a legit RE game that’s multiplayer and also has different routes and endings for each scenario. It’s insane Outbreak 1 and 2 even existed.

Resistance is actually pretty fun once you get the hang of it. Been playing with a group of people and you wouldn’t believe how much just fucking communicating helps win the game. It does have some downsides but with a few tweaks it can be better
