Imagine thinking that vanilla terraria is the pinnacle of game design. Not only is the original terrablade crafting retarded in and of itself, calamity takes it five steps further with exoblade which not only REQUIRES TERRA BLADE but also NINE other broad swords to make along with one of the most grindy fucking bars in existence that require you to beat SEVEN fucking bosses and ALL 4 PILLARS just to get all the materials to craft it.

And this isn't even the worst of it.There are TEN equally ridiculous crafting trees for other exo items, not even counting the various other weapons that have stupid large crafting trees. The difference here is, whereas in vanilla Terra Blade and Anhk shield are exceptions to the rule, in calamity THEY ARE THE RULE. EVERYTHING is like Terra Blade and Anhk shield, EVEN THE FUCKING BARS.

So don't fucking tell me that calamity bullshit crafting trees are OK because thorium and vanilla have a couple fucking terra weapons and ankh shield.

The Terra, Ankh Shield, and Cellphone are the most complex crafting Trees in the game, that's like 3. Even then they're not all really necessary, they're nice to have, especially the Ankh shield.

I feel like Calamity almost forces you to get these with how fucking stupid it gets.

the thing i like about mage is that every weapon it's unique, you can use multiple weapons for different reasons and your hotbar will likely have 6+ weapons. when playing melee I only have a sword and yo-yo, with ranged I have primary weapon and ichor weapon. So...
