I know and I agree. The concept art is a bit off but her in-game model's heels aren't that bad. All in all, I think SR did a decent job of characterizing Samus through body language, although some of her cutscene animations (specifically post-Diggernaut) were a little bit stiff. Like, her regular arm is just kind of hanging there when she double-taps Diggernaut, instead of it doing anything at all. You'd think she'd at least flex her hand a little or make a fist, but no it's just kinda flopping there at her side. That's just a nitpick though: the rest of the game she's pretty solid.

Further emphasizing how dumb those shoes are, if she's caught anywhere with gravel or any sort of uneven surface, the way the shoes separate means that they can trap small pieces of debris: if you haven't had that happen to you with regular-ass-boots then you're lucky because that shit is the fucking worst, and I can't possibly imagine how painful that would be if it happened in a pair of shoes that force your balance on the seam of your shoe. Whoever thought of that design needs to try wearing that shit for a day. Then redesign the shoes properly, and then they can get their next fucking paycheck.
