Can a $20 game have just as much soul as a $60 game?

I have played flash games that made me cry.

Yes, because the only thing that got axed would be marketing.

The $60 price tag is almost a guarantee you are not going to get your money's worth. I have played a plethora of $20 games I can say were fanastic experiences, and the majority of $60 purchases I've made were deep regrets hours in.

If you're going to pick a modern indie platformer at least pick a good one like
> Ori
> Salt and Sanctuary
> Iconoclasts
> Shovel Knight
> Cuphead
Hollow Knight is overrated trash.

Soul, yes. Content, no. Unless it's all 8-bit.

This launched for 20$ and I'm not sure a game with more soul even exists

Deadly Premonition

>Hollow Knight is overrated trash

This is baseless contrarianism. I understand if you aren't a fan of the game or just didn't like it for whatever, but anyone that played it can tell you're being pathetically overzealous trying to shit on something just for the fun of it. Fuck you nigger, and all those like you. Neck yourself

It's settled

i dont buy games until all the patches and dlc shit is one package so every game is ~20 bucks for me.

Every $60 game eventually turns into a $5 piece of shit with all the DLC included on disk.
If you actually buy games at launch you're a fucking idiotic piece of retarded shit and have no one to blame for any feelings of wasted money or time on games but yourself.

Glad you said it so I don't have to

Looking at my time played of various games its pretty clear that games i pick up for $10-30 always have a lot more play time in them. Full priced games tend to be played for only 40-100 hours then dropped, whereas games ive got over 500 hours in were gotten considerably cheaper

>actually paying the full $60 + DLC instead of waiting a year or two for sales, complete bundles and ports
>people actually do this

Eat shit, hollow man

>pirate all games
>they all cost the same
>get to judge games based on quality alone

any game sold at any price can have soul or not have soul and you are dumb to ascribe such a measure to the price

Hollowknight made me feel that real gaming challenge i use to feel playing Megaman and Metroid. Good game.

>soul = money
What do people think soul is now?

>20 dollar dollar video game

Undertale.

The physical copy was 20 bucks on release?

The original 360 copy was. All the re-releases are like $30-40 for some reason

They usually have more.

>just as much soul as a $60 game

I only buy games at £20. No idea why you wouldn't just wait six months.

>Iconoclasts > Hollow Knight
Hollow knight even does its story better and that's all that Iconoclasts has
